Our world in 580AD
finnaly time and a connection to this site...sorry for the delay.
crap...now I have a connection just no acces to the diskstation .
ok here it comes out the top of my head:
-As predicted our wise men discovered Monotheisme after the second turn,o the production of Sodaq was changed from Great Wall(wich was by the time already build by someone else) to Michelangelo's Chapel. This was also the time when I send forth my emmisaries to seek out the other civilizations and try to make some deals with them. But for some bizar reason they just seem to hate our guts, they demand techs but when we suggest exchanging they say they are to advanced for us(and they are the ones asking for the wheel )
Also they suddenly decided not to want to exchange maps either... .
To keep it short foreign pollicy is a mess(and it isn't even our foult,or is beeing smart a tread???).btw Babylonians still only want to wage war with us...(that's as far their statements get when we meet.
Romans and Indians are still fighting nicely amongst one another and the Romans found a way to use ZOC to their advantage to move troops along Citadel. You might see this as a bad thing but then I forgot to tell you they use those units to fight/slaughter/die vs the Indian ones."Divide et Impera" or in this case just let them fight so they forget me and leave our cities alone while growing stronger.
Egyptians just started building an other Wonder ,it is called:Adam Smith's
Our wonder :Mikes as the ppl now call it will be finished in 2 turns(the last 2 caravans are ready to enter the city and finish the construction)
Oh and most Glorious news from our explorers they discovered 2 advanced tribes that decided to join us.(maybe there should be a discusion about possible relocation of the second one:Brandenburg.)
Shade
(PS I'll try to get those screenshots in at home)

Edit: Sorry for being so stupid Mr. President Shade!

Embassies?
Where are all the embassies the people asked for Mr President ?
Perhaps if you built the embassies the people asked for we might know that the egyptians and the babylonians only have 4 or 5 cities and pose no real threat but it would seem you wish to keep us in the dark and have our people fear a huge 25 city civ as our opponent on this world.
What say the president who ignored the will of the people ?

Relocate Brandenburg! TWO whales gone to waste while the workers are left with a fish! I say build a settler and scoot over one tile.
Once Mike's is built, train Hydey's diplomats for him, the people demand it.
As for Babylon, any freed up bad guys can be used to liberate the poor babylonian people from their oppressors. We have an elephant and a legion somewhere. Send a warrior in to draw fire, then capture a city. Ashur looks like a good target, if not Babylon itself.
As for Rome using its units to sneak past Citadel: If we completely deny them thrufare, they will eventually sneak attack us. Let them pass until it is no longer wise. (Read: until a vet elephant can kill 6 of their units in one turn)

I agree about Brandenburg, and have that on my list of things to recommend to the President. The same goes for Dortmund (moving that will change the city square from Plains to Grass, and gain a Whale and Furs, AND gain us a pass-through spot for ships).

HISTORIAN SUPPORTS PRESIDENT SHADE !!
Mr. President --
I think His Majesty has been doing an excellent job! Worry not that the disgruntled masses play Monday morning quarterback, for they know not the pressure that you carry upon your shoulders. The fate of all the ppl may well rest on any key decision you are called upon to make, and we all know that no government can poll the ppl on every decision in the heat of battle. This is a Democracy, not a PBEM!!
You were elected as a show of faith, but in this society, the voice of the ppl will always be thus -- spamming the forums with ill-informed questions and opinions. Rest assured that those with the clearest minds , the strongest wills, and the most power will win the elections.
You, President Shade, are the man elected. The ppl have spoken!
I urge you to develop a certain thickness of skin. Those with muddy thinking and loud voices will always talk, and the forums exist to let their voices be heard.
A leader of your greatness should heed the call of office -- take counsel from your High Council and go forth into the world confident that they represent the true will of the ppl.
As your loyal servant, I promise you this --
History will tell truly the grand tale of your Presidency.
All Hail The Great Shade!
*(Historian calls a hurried meeting with the wise men, begs them to invent a chill pill before the Prez pops a gasket.)*

Hm, I think the balance is good. The President is doing his job properly (good work on all those new screenshots), but the People are also speaking their will and that is proper, too.

They do have 2 of the 6 wonders built so far and in 2 turns we will have 2 of the 7.

It seems like the president does not want any of our people to hear or see anything about foreign civs or he would have built embassies as the people asked.
President Shade speaks with forked tongue, no wonder none of the other civs that he hides from us will speak to him.

There is always an AI that focusses on Wonders. That we are so close to it is quite good. And we are invested in building more than the Egyptians can build.
The difference is that we are also building 4 Diplomats, 2 Warriors, 5 Caravans. We need some adjustments to that, but we are on a winning path if we can also manage some additional Libraries and Marketplaces. It is a question of organizing our resources as effectively as possible.
I expect to see our cities produce some Diplomats, some Caravans, and some infrastructure over the next turns. There should be something for everyone to work with.

I have been unable to get online for the last few days. I agree with the idea for moving the two new cities, Dortmund and Brandenburg. I will soon provide ideas for additional expansion.

Re: Throne room
Nice chair.
As your Supreme Military Commander , I think the Egyptians can continue to build wonders for us. Once our chapel is built, and the masses are happy, many bad guys will be freed up for bullying neighbors. We will only need to get the boats ready to transport piles of them to Egypt. Once we have an impressive force near the wonder spot of our liking, we can let egyptian blood flow. If one other civ builds several wonders we want, we need only go to war with one civ to capture them.

New citizen fully supports the President
Since our neighbors are so hostile, I feel there's no need to waste time on embassies. The President is doing his job well. If we hang tough the foreign devils will learn their lesson sooner or later.
By the way, how are we going to tell the difference between someone addressing me and someone addressing the actual President?
