I would like here to have nomiance for posts, I will run for foreign minister again, I like it a lot. I promise to go with the politices of the voter, but I will campaign for aggressive foreign policy!

You had your chance twice as Foreign Minister and achieved nothing, I am aggressively pushing the president to follow the will of the people into building embassies , this way the people can be given much more information on what other civs are up to.
I will ask the people to again vote me the Foreign Minister so that I may continue the work that I have started and my predissesor (adamsj) failed to even start.

A vote for Hydey gives vission and enlightenment to the people.
A vote for adamsj keeps the people in the dark.
I say the people are clever enough to make the smart choise here

I just checked the calendar. It seems that we are only HALF WAY thru the month! Perhaps we can begin nominations after another week or more goes by?

(le marquis selling tickets to the Hydey - adamsj slugfest, scheduled to last 12 rounds)

Funny I have looked at the entire map including clicking into the darkness in an attemp to predict how many cities each civ has, I predict that the egyptians have only 5-6 cities , the americans 4-5 , romans 6-7, Babs 5-6 and the as yet undiscovered civ 8-9 , I aso predict alot of undiscovered Islands that our civ will be able to make use of in the furore if the people so desire.
Then again maybe you don't want a foreign minister spending time and effort to this game.

Sounds like a good plan. Perhaps we should make that official, for all future elections? (How would that work? The president would make a proposal, and the council vote on it, with the president breaking the tie if there is one?)

It is official, only we haven't written our rules down yet. We polled, and the vice prez is responsible for starting the election threads at the end of the month. On the 25th, iirc, we are to make our nominations.
Perhaps it's time to make a sticky rule thread...

good idea, maybe we could get rid of the sticky one supposed for the monthlu cabinets(since there has been some serious threadjacking) and replace it with one containing the rules in the first post and the cavinet members in the following ones...and also make it so that only one person can add/change it.
Would be very usefull for the new members(and the old ones to if they want to check something)

Isn't that what the Vice President does? If not, what does the Vice President do?

He starts the election threads at the end of the month. Otherwise, he just waits for the president to disappear.
