Peacekeeping Defense forces report that in the late war with the Tyrant, they captured four Hive bases (one was subsequently destroyed by being exchanged a couple of times) destroyed at least two others and stole more technologies thatn I can recall.
All this, I might add, with forces greatly outnumbered and, until recently, outclassed by the enemy. This offensive was undertaken to relieve the considerable pressure on our Spartan pactmates. who were under attack by the Tyrant as the 60s opened.
As Sparta has recently been able to take an offensive herself, resulting in the capture of a Hive base, Peacekeeping and Hive forces have reached a truce...for the time being.
We intend to use this brief time of peace to put our economy on a war footing and to raise some few units with our best defense systems, the prototypes for which have only recently entered service.

It wasn't as lucky for Yang as all that, KK. He found it expedient to break the truce we just made. He killed my Plasma rover prototype defender and a probe team while losing a Plasma Sentinel to a scout behind a PD. My counterstrikes killed a Plasma defender, two missile empath infantry and a missile noodle and destroyed another Hive base. (too small to survive occupation)
He has a Locust approaching one of his erstwhile bases. Bummer.
No problem with the file here. Yang even called me after his base was destroyed, but I didn't deign to answer the comm. No crash, though.

I would suppose, duMa, that AI Deidre intervened on my behalf when Yang sneak-attacked me in his last turn. That is normal when one of your pactmates is attacked by a faction to which you are not also pacted.

Playing on, I think. Ther didn't seem to be a problem with the file when I had a similar event. (pop-up diplomacy window after taking a Hive base)
