Damn. It sure looked like you still had a lot of units showing on F7 during my turn.

When I went back to check my last two end of turn saves...
At my end '88 save, your F7 showed 88 units of all types, with 5 due to complete in the next turn...indicates 93 units.
At my end '89 save, your F7 showed 85 units..eight fewer than were indicated, but before casualties.
93 less 4 casualties should leave 89...85 showing.
By my count there are only four missing units.
You say you lost 4 attacks during your turn. Any losses to Hive attacks in the interturn? Run any aircraft out of fuel? Lose any probes ...compromised. etc.?
Two additional solutions come to mind.
1) you might have made an eror in the Workshop, retiring instead of obsoleting a design.
2) If you returned a base to Yang...the fate of units in the base radius of bases trasnferred to the AI is a mystery to me. Sometimes they get repatriated, sometinmes they simply vanish.
Any of these items apply?
Remember also that the battle summary only counts battles since the last battle summary. If you save at end of turn, you will get a new summary for the turn just completed which will not include any defensive losses suffered in the interturn.

Thanks for trying to help out Mongoose.
But I'm not that concerned with everything being completely fair with this game that much.
I'm treating it more and more as an experiment, and a learning experience.

Reload warning for me...I typed in the password from Teamgame1 three times...convinced I had somehow mistyped it the first two times, I very deliberately typed each character again. Senior moment.

Guys:
I've had a spate of hardware problems lately including the loss of the hard disk with my copy of the passwords for this game. I thought I had a backup copy somewhere, but it has not yet come to light - perhaps I have one, perhaps I don't, but If I do, it is hiding effectively. There is is a possibility that the dead drive will be ressurected, but I wouldn't count on it (I think I'm going to send it in for warranty repair/replacement and who knows what, if anything I'll get back); there is also a slim chance I could remember the passwords, but I would rate that extremely low.
Before Murphy's Law kicks in I thought it prudent to get you guys to send me fresh copies of your passwords so I can stash them away, hopefully in a place(s) that is better protected.
Please put 'Yang Goes Native', 'YGY', etc., in the subject line so I can spot it in the tons of Spam I'm getting lately (in other words, don't put something like Adult Site Password in there). Please send it to me at John's email address.
From the looks of the thread, there are just the 4 of you left (out of 6, knowhow2); please pass the word to any invisible players that are still in the game, although I expect that the invisible password would work for them.
For those (3) of you who are in other games with me . . . I think I have the appropriate files and email addresses necessary to take the turns in those games, I'm just a little short of the necessary time to take them what with having to deal with these system problems on top of an already busy period - so please bear with me and feel free to send me a nag and/or resend of the turn if you think I might be too tardy.
John

I can't find the correct file. I went and checked the 2193 file I got and it says that I've already played (moan). I'll look around and see if I saved it under something else, but I doubt it. Looks like I either deleted it by accident or mixed it up somehow. This is what happens when I play several SMAC and SMAX turns when in a hurry...

I replayed the last turn I had in my files. I may have sent the correct file after all. This may be a case of that the 'year won't roll over bug'.

Nope. Not the case, KK. This is the same turn as I have already played, with my colony pod in Discipline Tubes just completing construction.
I note that K2 never posted passage of the 2194 to you. Perhaps it has not yet been sent? He did post elsewhere that he would be in the US for week.

This is a wierd game...
knowhow2: Could you resend the 2194 turn? Or I'll wait if you haven't played it yourself yet.
