Heheh. I /always/ muck up at the beginning of a game. It's a tradition... and confusing a tradition, indeed.

I never play the believers.... I am just going to have to drill it into my brain that that's who i'm playing so I can send the right turn from now on.

2109 to DCOLE.
"Scout Alpha-Tango-Twelve reporting in, commander."
"Go ahead."

Yeah. DCOLE is really, really taking a long time with the turns. Both large games that I'm in, he's holding up.
But, like he said, things will get better on the 10th. Hey, wait a second...
(Rereads) Maybe he meant the 18th. *Shrugs*. In any case, it's been 3 days now, which is more than the time it takes to go around all the other players and get back to him. It's understandable if he's graduating, but after the 18th (assuming that's what he meant), I think it's not unfair to expect that the game will come much more quickly from his end.

REPLACEMENT TIME AGAIN.
The email from DWCOLE:
---
I am contacting you from the local library near where I live. My
computer has died evidently traveling does not agree with it. I am currently looking for another but between saving for graduate school (having to pay rent stinks) and paying of my new car and my new insurance (one wreck and it all goes to crap) I don't know when I will be able to get another. I am terribly sorry
since I know this holds up the game. I will look for a replacement but I hereby authorize you to find one and give him/her my assword. Good luck to you all, when my situation stabilizes I will return, can only go for so long without my drug .
---
I'll post looking for a replacement. Meantime, John - can I send you the turn and maybe get you to play it?

Hm... being from Canada, having a nifty avatar and giving us an honourary guarantee for turns output is a good enough set of prerequisites for me to agree.

I concur as well..... that would make it so I wasn't the newest replacement anymore.

Mmkay - so should I resend the turn to JohnDMuller, or should I send it to Krysias? Is everyone okay with this, or what?

OK, I took the messages to date to indicate consent for this replacement and sent the password and appropriate addresses to KK, for whom I happened to have this email address. Claw919 should send the turn there and Vader, Jr. should likewise expect the turn from there (unless there is a better email address). Hopefully this will end the shakeout period.
Is everyone still having fun ?

Thank's for the welcome. I'll do my best...
My faction seems to be somewhat behind though. ( and you wouldn't believe what we're $#&*% reaserching ! )
And... uhm... uh... WHAT'S THE STORY WITH YANG !?!
_____________________________________________
Erstwhile back at Sparta Command, a young captain has engineered a coup...
" To all other faction leaders who may have survived planetfall... Colonel Dcole78 has been disposed... For the crime of failling to properly insure the gaurenteed survival of the Spartan Federation... From this day onward, Kolonel Krysia's Krusader, shall assume command... ... ... ... In guns we trust..."
Kolonel KK: " Okay cut! That's a take send it out on all comm. frequencies... Now how the hell are we gonna get our scientists on the right track ?"

Re: Yang Goes Native - tracking thread
[QUOTE] a few corrupted colleagues of Zak and a few of Yang's former Gaian supporters were able to create a retrovirus which allowed the Chairman to insert his own DNA into that of the Native life found on Planet. [QUOTE]
Huh ? ... Wad's dis ?? ... Is Yang allied with the native life or somethin' ???
[QUOTE] and so now these smarmy Yanglettes of various kinds may be found almost anywhere on Planet [QUOTE]
What are; "smarmy Yanglettes" ? Is this in SMAX... I told you guys, I've only got SMAC.

Dude, don't take this the wrong way, but you worry WAY too much about little details.
If it was SMAX, you couldn't even open the turn.
Nobody's going to leave you behind. It's all good.

Allright. 4 days ago, Dark Vader (junior), sent the turn to Arnie.
Arnie... Who are you ? And do you still have the turn ?

Though it doesn't look like it matters a heck of a lot, let it be noted that I'll be out of the computer from about May 24th to May 29th, plus a few days on either side to allow for travel time (36h bus rides... feeling like a Scout Patrol).
Wish me luck!
