I found the original thread -
http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=46911
No rules, only settings are mentioned there, as far as I can see. There is no such thing as a 'normal' rule set! What's normal in some games is strictly verboten in others.
Anyway, I'll take a look at it. Since it's so early, it can't be too screwed up, right? *he asks hopefully*

Grrrrr, the @#%@*! thing ate my reply.
Anyway, I'm out of town and won't be able to give Mongoose the password until Tuesday (I left home without it - what was I thinking ?).
The pbem standard rules are here (they really ought to "top" this thing), but of course you can use whatever rules you want.
There is probably some significance to the story line , but time will tell.

Thats amazing ! I checked the thread that Mongoose found, and it's first post was on the 07-04-2002. We are exactly 3 months down the road, and there have been 3 players replaced (50%), and 15 turns played !

I'm addicted to SMAC.
It's a lifetime addiction.

Yup, but once good solid players are found it should all work out well.

Agreed.
When you look at the roster of players, now, it looks like we're all pretty much regular players, so...
Thanks, Mong, for picking this up. I owe you one.

I sent the PK password to Mongoose (I hope). I didn't have his address so I sent it via Poly's fowarding service, so if they don't have a good address, I suppose I will need someone to post it or send it to me. I trust you'all will let me know if it hasn't arrived and take appropriate action .

2116 to Krusader.
Mong - They appear to be scattered everywhere.
There's a smattering of technology like that (apparently left by Yang). It's a scenario, so who knows what we'll find?
John - very, very exciting so far.

I'll get the turn and forward it to someone else to play, just to keep everything honest - but thanks, Vader, for keeping the game rolling!

Okay, thought he might've been. Just to confirm, you got the turn, KrysiasKrusader?
I'll be in Sweden until I move again... possibly the end of this year, we'll see. Pourquoi?

Holy crap. Sorry about that - my brain went bye-bye on that turn send.
Sadly, the turn is on my home machine - I will resend to KK as soon as I'm home.
A thousand lashes for me!

WOW.
Okay - this is totally embarassing. For the first time in my life, I need to ask for a turn resend so I can replay it - I appear to have LOST the damned thing.
Knowhow - can you please resend me the YGN turn?
Very, very sorry all, for holding up the game.

Turn to KK.
...and the turn has been replayed (I *HAD* played it on my work laptop, since it nagged me about cheating).
Apologies all around, and thanks Knowhow for the resend.
