Civ3 MPGE
At first I was really mad that civ3 came out with no multiplayer, bugs, etc. But now that all is done, I would have to say the best course of action would be to make a totally new game. I think if they added more units and techs with a completely finished and polished game, that would be worth the money. Yes the standard edition is a disgrace and a waste of money (I was fortunate enough not to buy it), but putting out MP in a patch I just don't think is possible. If MP is going to be successful it's going to need more units, more techs, a completely revamped resource system, and option to turn of culture period...not just culture win. Right now there are too many unbalancing factors in the game for it to be MP, but with patches like the 1.21f there is still hope for a really good civ3 MPGE. What does everyone else think?

While I don't agree with all of your opinions...
I do agree that they should view MP as a totally different game then the current SP version. The needs for both are so totally different.

And just for those who haven't heard my rant before...

GIVE US MORE OPTIONS IN THE GAME SET UP MENU!

A new version would be best. I can just imagine it now... with all the positive changes made in the past few patches + some PLAYTESTED mp additions (lots of options) we could have a decent game.

Yes, more options --> more fun --> better game.

More units and I'd just love 4 different UU's for each civ (1UU/era).
More stack commands (maybe introducing control panel for group commands such as in AOE2),
easier queuing (not very intuitive right now),
news screen such as in MOO2 (easier for following up production)

I'd buy the XP immediately!

(that is if you don't wait for too long anymore)

PS: where are the promised correct starting locations on world maps? Mike was working on it several months ago ... Don't tell me that I'll have to dive in the editor, please
