This month, in an amazing decision which stunned everyone involved Fredrick Willhelm, realizing he couldnt hold back the french juggernaut and also realizing that he was holding up his russian allies has decided to turn the entire prussian nation over to the Russian peoples. Russia, sept 1799
Tzar Alexander adressed the nation in all the major Newspapers this month, urging every Russian and Prussian men to take up arms against the French agressor.
" We will protect our Prussian friends and new members of this great country with all our might and effort."
*Breslau incorporated into the Russian Empire, uniting the Prussian Nation with Russia.
*Russian intelligence indicated a large French force resting in Krakau. The Russian forces in the area quickly engaged the French in a massive battle for the controll of the city. The casualties on both sides where high, but Russian forces made the day and is currently in controll of the city.

French Cavalry in Action!
Frances elite cavalry forces have won two great battles this month. After a brief battle French cavalry belonging to the Army of the Oder has taken the city of Breslau.
Meanwhile, a large portion of the Army of the Danube's Cavalry has struck out at Russian forces near Krakow and have slaughtered no less then four regiments of Russian troops, thereby advenging the French defeat in the Battle of Krakow.
--------
DV: I think that a stalemate is a more likely outcome

*Russian forces attacks French forces outside Krakau, French dragoons slaughtered.
*The Tzar is worried about the large size of the French Empire. Hopefully Russia can take advantage of the fact that the French forces are so close to eachother.

Krakow and Russian Army Destroyed in Titanic Battle!
In one of the biggest battles yet seen, the French Army of the Danube has crushed the Russian army concentrated in Krakow. The French high command has announced that over 6 Russian regiments were destroyed in the battle. French casualties were light, and French troops are helping to evacuate the former residents of the city.
Warsaw and Danzig Fall
After brief battles the former Prussian cites of Warsaw and Danzig have been occupied by the French Army of the Oder.
Copenhagen Taken
The French Atlantic Fleet has entered the Kattegat and has bombarded the city of Copenhagen into submission. French casualties were heavy, but it appears that Russian losses have been greater still.
----------
Sas, I just saw in CFC that you're taking a 2-3 week vacation. When are you going to be leaving?
Personally, I'd rather finish this game then have someone new replace you... (I'll either crush them or we'll settle into a bloody stalemate)
That said, Grothgar; If you want to replace Sas that's more then fine by me

Tzar Alexander is furious over the heavy losses caused by the French Army. This requires a completely new strategy in the war against France.
*Some tactical movement, no millitary actions.

Sucess in the Baltic
Following what appears to be a Russian withdrawal, the Army of the Vistula has entered East Prussia and has taken the city of Konigsberg without opposition.
While it appears that Kronstant is also unoccupied, the Army of the Vistula has been unable to move fast enough to occupy the city.
Meanwhile, the French Baltic Fleet has mounted a sucsessful attack on Stockholm, and the city has been occupied by troops belonging to the Army of the Baltic.

Sas, why does St. Petersburg have some werid square symbols at the end of its name?

It might have something to do with me using Lazyciv2, it seems to have a problem with very long names. Btw, Lazyciv2 is a program that prevents the AI from changing the production when you loose a city.

Ah OK. I was wondering if it had something to do with the game being translated to and from Norwegian
Anyway, could you try to fix it as it's going to screw with the events when I capture the city

Wahoo! Two turns in one day!
Lemburg Falls
A cavalry regiment of the Army of the Danube has occupied Lemburg after finding that the Russians had abandoned it. The regiment then pressed on into the Ukraine and defeated a Russian cavalry regiment.
As anounced last month, Kronstant has also been found unoccupied and has now been secured by the Army of the Baltic.
Resistance Ends in Spain
Following a brief but bloody battle, the French Army of Spain has occupied La Coruna, the last stronghold of the Spanish regime.
This formally ends the Spanish campaign, and the remnants of the Army of Spain will now be added to the French Armies in Russia.

This will be my last round, and from now on Grothgar will take my place. Good luck to the both of you
----------------------------------------------------------
Russia is in the last stages of implementing the new strategy. Hopefully this will halt the French advance.
*In a risky operation ivolving the Russian navy and army, Stockholm was recaptured. Heavy French losses was reported.
*In another Russian naval operation, a French frigate was sunk outside Koningsberg.
*Russian cavalty attack near Lemberg, destroying a French Dragoon batallion.

The people of France have been shocked to learn that French forces have not taken a city this month.
Only the news of the French Baltic Fleet sinking a Russian frigate and bombarding Russian troops near Stockholm has averted a revolution
