Wow, it comes to 2.38mb at maximum compression. I havent tested it yet though so. It will be a useful addition for people with WinXP though methinks.

It became smaller tha them the official one !!!!
We could call the unnoficial patch 1.1 but make sure you add a text file saying that this material is not supported by Activision. This can save the community from legal stuff. Yet Activision dont care about CTP2 anyway and it did support modders, didnt it !!!
Great Work Maquiladora. If this thing works (did you tested?) it will be a big addition to the community. Will save a lot of newbies from problems.

SMIFFGIG downloaded it sometime ago and said it worked so far, because hes having problems with WinXP and the patch not finding the installation. Ill see how he goes and ill run a longer game with it tomorrow as well.
Its much smaller is because it doesnt include the German, Spanish, French and well all the other languages, like the CtP1 patches were.
If i know it works (and i dont see any reason why it wouldnt) then ill make the other languages.
edit: Thats a good point actually, i only wrote a disclaimer i didnt put anything that it wasnt supported by Activision Guess someone can download it and add that to the readme and upload it on Apolyton or somewhere (its no fun uploading with 56k!)

This thing works alright, im using it now (cause i got that damn XP bug too )
Off topic: I tried to play Maquiladora on MM2 however in the option for ages i only get the default (ancient - renaissance - modern - genetic - diamond) however MM2 should industrial and medieval etc, these others show up on Maquiladora's game but not mine, when we start a game it doesnt work he gets kicked or crashes to desktop whatever. We both have same version 2.2 latest one so its very strange why i dont get the extra eras, and annoying as thats probably what makes the game crash. Any ideas what this could be my ages.txt seems to be ok
Maybe i should have posted this in a new thread

Thanks Maquiladora,
This works great so far. I have been playing unmodded for the last few days and I am downloading the mods as I post here.

You could make and XP Activision WW2 scenario. As the installer dont work for it as it cannot detect an installation of ctp2.
P.S. Dunno if this is related but when i try to load a binary map from the editor ctp2 just crashes to desktop. So far i have tried Atlantic map and Omnis North america both with the same result ??
Oh and i want the WW2 scen to try peters addon for it although I have heard that has a major bug in it ??

Just to let you know im working on the WW2 scenario already i cant look at it at the moment (as im at the library) but its just like the patch, and will (hopefully) make it somewhat smaller.
The thing with using /importmap is that you have to have the right dimensions set in const.txt first and make sure you start a game with the right size map to correspond with your map size your gonna import. Open the scenario editor too before you open the console and import it.

When im using a custom map i normally make a new scenario directory and modify the const.txt for each map im gonna import.
