I don't get it. You play in the middle of the night in Vancouver, while you are sleeping ?
Please explain the trick or my misunderstanding of your quotation.
It's me the Evil prince of the night

sleep is a habit which I am trying to kick
I was covering for a freind who is a nighttime concierge at a downtown office/residential complex. When I finished that at 6am,I started my day.I'm on no sleep for abit.
I must say that is has got to be the most boring job a person can have.Thank goodness there is a computer to play with

Well, well. I don't know how you do that. Me I have to sleep 9 hours per night
I might just be lazy
BTW, my move is 33 axb5, put at the bottom of page 3. But you don't need to play fast, take your time to think about your answer.
But if you can think 9 more hours each day than me, then you've got the edge

Yes the king is always on the lookout for "opposition" to his rule after returning from his self imposed exile. He wishes he could call in re-enforcements for the dark squares
31 Rf1 ... Ba8
32 h3 ... Rgb6
33 Kg2 ... axb5
34 Rfb1
I was looking at 32 Rg2 as an answer to to Bc6 but it didn't look very promising after 33...axb5 34 Bb3 Ra8 or even Rxg2 maybe ..needed more of a good look though.

My personal record is just short of 50 hours with no sleep. At a chess tournament of all things
funny stuff occurs in your mind after that much deprivation. In the last round, the vertical files appeared to be moving in opposite directions after first time control(40/90 iirc).Like 8 escalators lined up..1 goes up,next down, then up,etc.

Did you realise you were therefore legally insane and not responsible for your actions? At least, I think you would have been in America...

Yes, at last I play my bishop there. But no force draw now.
Well, I shall certainly never try to go 50 hours without sleeping.

Legally insane?
You mean I could have killed my last round opponent and then claimed a win by forfeit ? ...I would have finished in the money!!!
Well Julius,I think a nice 50 hour "stay awake" would be ideal before you make your next move

Hello fellas!
Just dropping by to pay my respect. From reading the thread (I have not yet played through the moves you've made) I gather it's been an interesting game. Go, Canada, go!

It has been interesting at times.I let out most of the tension back with move 14.Bb3.If I could change one it would be that one.14.Nf3 seems to keep things more tense.
But,maybe simplfying is the only reason I am still alive and kicking although at no point have I felt I would lose this position...not yet anyways ..we'll see if the champ has found something fairly soon methinks.
The end game has been pretty tough.Lots of moves possible at different times.I wanted to test Julius' endgame and so far he is passing easily

Well, finally I am going somewhere : I have looked at about 20 different moves and now there's only 3 I am hesitating with
Tomorrow I will make my decision.

I am not sure, it's the best move, though
