Message icons for quick reply
I was wondering how feasible it would be to allow us to select a message icon (besides the default) when using the quick reply feature. Obviously this isn't absolutely necessary, it'd just be a nice addition to the quick reply feature IMO so long as it doesn't cause too much additional page cluttering.

I think it would look too cluttered, personally.

A way to declutter the option would be to use a combo box for it (similar to the Rate This Thread combo box)...

If too many features got tacked on to the Quick Reply, the actual "Post Reply" button would become redundant. Hmm . . .

Well, its not like we need to keep the actual post reply option there. For us regulars anyway. (When you are logged out, you don't get a quick-reply option)
I would also worry that having that many icons in a drop-down selection box would increase time needed to load the page.
I'm on a dial-up, every second counts

No, the quick reply is good as it is. If you want more features (as subject, attachment and message icons you should use the normal reply.)

I agree with Gramphos. The only grumble I have is that the box could be a tad wider.
