Hello, I am in the "Pre-WWI" scenario PBEM at civfanatics. It is a relatively new scenario, and therefore I hope there is a good enough amount of interest in it to get one going at Apolyton too. I find it a lot better than any of the other imperialist age scenarios I've seen so far, and PBEM play would make it that much better. I like and others like it because of the good map, great graphics, and units/techs that go as far forward as the WWII era. Here is the intro description:

Strong-Best
"War does not determine who is right, war determine who left" - Plato.
Its 1901, the Entente Corial between England and France has not been signed, and Italy-Austria-Germany are still holding there alliance together, Russia remains sided with France... will war break out or will peace and common sense prevail?

There is also an eighth "neutral" civ which takes the place of barbarians in this scenario, and in that they are of course unplayable. They control Spain, Tunisia, most of the Balkan Peninsula, all of Scandinavia, and the low countries. The beginning of the game is dominated by the quick seizing of these sitting ducks.
I would hope that seven people are able to do this PBEM if it starts at all, since any civ that is left to the AI will be carved up overnight.
And finally, this scenario is an anything-goes situation, and neither house rules or negotiation disabling will hold you to alliances or even alignments. You could have a Prusso-British alliance if you want; it all depends on the situation.
Here are the three scenario downloads, so you can take a look at it if you haven't seen it yet:

That's about it, so here's the order which I will edit as (or if) people join:
Russian Empire: open/AI
French Empire: open/AI
German Empire: open/AI
Austro-Hungarian Empire: open/AI
Italian Empire: open/AI, hopefully me
British Empire: open/AI
Ottoman Empire: open/AI
I prefer the Italians, but I'm willing to play something else if needs be. That is, something else other than the Russians because I am playing them in the Civfan PBEM and although they are easy, all the micromanagement is too much to do twice.
