No roads connect to my capital city??! Please Help
I don't understand it... I was wondering why I couldn't trade, my advisor said that I didn't have any connected resources but I had lots of connected cities. Then I realized that my Capital city was not connected to any of the roads, they simply went around it. Very bizarre!
Has anyone experienced this before and/or have any idea what may be causing this?
(by the way I have changed lots of graphics, but I can't imagine how that would affect anything. I'm also playing on Marla's World Map (if that makes any difference)...
PLEASE HELP....

I'm not sure if I really understand your question, but to trade you need:
1) lux. or resources in your territory;
2) a road on the lux./res. that leads to your capital;
3) a road/harbor that connects your capital to the AI's capital you're willing to trade with.

The question is: was your capital connected by roads before? If it was, and the roads suddenly disappeared, we have a bug. If it was not, then there are two possibilities: you have not build roads connecting your capital to the resources (shame on you ), or yor are trying to build these roads and the game somehow won't let you do it (which would be another bug).

Well, I do have roads connected to resources, but I just never realized that they never automatically connected to my capital city, they just circled my capital (all the tiles around it) I think it may have something to do with the fact that that particular city I placed with copytool (the savegame editor)... Oh well I guess I'll have to restart and see if it'll work properly if I don't use that copytool...
Thanks guys for your input

I am sure you are not using a Firaxis approved copytool.
