The first send of 2198 to Claw has bounced already. I've resent just in case it was a random glitch.
Does anyone have another email address for him?

I have no alternate addy, Chaunk. At need, you might attach the save file here for him to download.

I received the turn and played it. (Turn to Hive)
Don't know why it would have bounced. As an alternate address, you can use drobinet at incat dot com.

It's not right, CDS, that he blow off a committment already made to the players he's already in games with so as to be able to assume another committment.

Hang on here guys...
#1. I seem to have done something that I hate when it happens to other people. Namely, to have played the turn and forgot to e-mail it.
#2. Thank you for reminding me about it.
#3. The time it takes to play this turn, compared to doing - whatever else, is no excuse. The reason is in #1 above. I would not delay a prior commitment by accepting a new one !
#4. For those of you who question my ethics and/or integrity... Rest assured that I would not willingly do what Mongoose has suggested.
#5. I regret and apologise for the inconvenience...

Apologies for the delay, I've been caught up in real life trying to sort out a gap year I'm taking soon, which will unfortunatly cause me to drop out of all of my PBEMs in about a month or so.
I'll try and keep on the right side of Mongoose's waspish temper in the mean time though.

Ah is that another of those phrases that I think is universal, but it's only brittish?
A gap year is a year as a gap between one stage and the next. In my case, it's a year working in a holiday camp between college and university.

if you're going to drop from this and all your pbems, i suggest that u simply find a replacement for all of them, as it's easier for someone to take over earlier, rather than later.

...and it's REPLACEMENT TIME again!
Cube has just sent me a note saying he's dropping his SMAC games. SO, we're looking for an immediate replacement for Ice Cube, and a slightly longer-term replacement for Chaunk.
AUGH!
I may have one replacement in mind - I'll be speaking with him today. Anyone else have nominations?

Hive 2199 forwarded to K2.
As of now, Cube is the only one out. KK, Claw, CDS, SinMan and myself are definitely still in. Chaunk is apparently in for a little while, though I agree with CDS that in all fairness to the replacing player, the sooner the replacement takes place, the better.
