Of course you may join! Welcome, your gold pendant is in the mail.
We do not vote as a block - at least not yet. Perhaps a little pm'ing over important polls would be a start... We now have enough members to actually occupy all ministerial posts.

hmm political parties
As a newbie I woun't join anything, at least not straight away, but this might be the right thread to find out what players or parties that shares my views on things.
My view on the way forward is productivity (ie shields) as paramount for our futher glory.
This talk about trade is just capitalist propaganda

Communism.. bah
Is there a capitalism (make loadsa money at the expense of everyone) party?
If not.. I hereby make it
Name: The Apolyton Capitalist Party (ACP)
Members: Me
Manifesto: The production of more cash. Vote for us and we will build stock exchanges in every city, research capitalism (we don't have it, do we?) and give our major cities the capitalism improvement. Furthermore, this Communism policy is just starving us of cash, so we'll switch to Fundamentalism. We'll make loads of caravans to trade with our rich neighbours (and DESTROY the poor ones! ), and keep some because apparently that lets you research during Fundamentalism..
Main points:
Construction of Stock Exchanges in every city
Research of Capitalism
Government change to Fundamentalism
Building of two new Armies & two transport fleets (which we can afford once we've done the things above)
Demanding tribute from all our weaker neighbours
FURTHERMORE, we will save money by destroying improvements we don't need. For example, when we need to build sewers, we'll demolish the aqueducts so they won't cost excess money! And we'll destroy other stuff we don't care about, like.. oo.. the Palace
So join the Apolyton Capitalist Party (ACP) today! Campaign for more cash and less.. erm.. more cash!
Put your name down here

I would like to join the Sodaqistas. They seem to be the easiest way to be helped to power in the future...and I also like their ideas.

The Apolyton Capitalist Party supports a fast move towards Capitalism, and a very very gradual move towards Democracy. I agree that changing to Democracy now could be disastrous, but in the future, when we are producing much more money, have a small but up-to-date and highly mobile army, and have improved our core cities infastructure, Democracy will be a very good option.
Right now, the ACP believes we should be paving the way for the Capitalist-Democrat revolution, by improving the infastructure of our cities (marketplaces, banks, temples, cathedrals etc) and of our land (more roads, irrigation and mines).
Anyone who wants to join, I urge you to put your name down right here! We are growing fast, and need your support for the greater good of our glorious nation!

I propose a merger between the Sodaqistas, the Communist Party, and the Up holding Apolytonia prestige in Foreign affairs Party (NOTE: the name is a bit cumbersome, don't you think?). As our philosophies seem to overlap, or at least not contradict each other, cleary a merger would make us far more effective in polls, etc., due to our huge size.

Ah ha.. something I just realised.
adamsj is James Adams.. see? AdamsJ? James Adams? Check his profile, you'll see it.
Since James Adams' party merged with the Apolyton Capitalist Party (ACP) to create the Apolyton Capitalist & Foreign Prestige Party (ACPP), the Up holding Apolytonia prestige in Foreign affairs Party ceases to exist.. which means Nimitz, James Adams' member, should now be in the ACPP.. (if hes around)
Can anyone confirm that?

1. You are correct about James Adams (founder of this forum, BTW ). While his new login is well-known to Demo Game vets, we don't know *why* he made this change.
2. It appears correct that his old party now ceases existence.
3. Nimitz must declare his own loyalties. He hasn't posted recently.

1. To make his logons on Poly, CFC, CGN, FFZ and CG all the same.
The fact that two are restricted is not the point...
