Trade-caravan-poll
I will keep it quite simple:
we need everything but we should make a choice.
options
1) all caravans(>~80%) will be used for wonders(stockpille untile needed.
--> what it says, the rest can be used for trade with Rome
2) 50/50 trade with Romans/stockpille for wonder
3) all caravans(>~80%)will be used for trade with the Romans
trade with the Romans is quick, there is no real danger we will get into a war with them soon, gives quite some cash and science.
stockpilled caravans will make it easy to build a new wonder in 1 or 2 turns.
(My hope is we can go for the Democracy-tech and build the SoL so we can switch to Commie and get more trade and science )
You have 2 days.

1° they are the very close to us(unlike the Egyptians or Babylonians)
2° Rome already gives a nice moneyinput and caravans can't be blocked from entering this city(you go through the harbor )
3° while in battle with Egypt and America we will probably only have 1 trireme to transport caravans--> short trips are best

Zealot - Shakespeare's has been built by the Americans (Washington). But I think we will take that after we settle with the Egyptians.
Shade - My apologies, but I can't figure out what "Nr2" is. Maybe I had better get an Embassy with the Americans. BTW - Did you know you left me with 2 cities (Apolyton and Walvis) about to go into revolt next turn? Shame on you!

I'm not being critical, but normally in English, shade, Number 2 = No. 2
About as logical as Hitchhiker's Guide, but that's English for you!
If it helps, I knew what you meant.

It's excellent for big cities when you can't afford WLT*D!
And built in a coastal city with good production can be really usefull, because you can build all your ships in that city that it won't revolt!

Shade - LOL at myself! I was trying to see it as an abbreviation of the name of a Wonder.
Shaka - Shakespeare's in a coastal city is a very good way to keep a fleet at sea without causing unhappiness. I home ships and units to a productive city. I play as a Democracy a lot, and it really helps.

That IS a good tactic, cavebear, especially if the city is also a big trade producer (kinda like the SSC).
And shade - please don't ask about logic in English - the whole language comes crashing down around your ears! Maybe the 'O' is Latin...?

(that's me thinking )
could be,I should look it up(guess that was a really bad translation from Dutch )...isn't it numero(in Italian?= modern latin)
@ cavebear ... all these shortcuts can be confussing...
Go on dear president and kick their little buts straight into oblivion.

I think Numero is latin. So's uno (one). But it may be the same in modern italian too. Or I may have just forgotten how to say number or one in latin .
