How about a
tag?
Check out the following thread at the SDMB. See how they do spoilers using the tags?
Can we get those here?
Thanks!

That's pretty cool.
click the mouse and drag over the black box, if you want to see whats behind it.
something tells me that this would be abused.

Why? The usual beatings should suffice.

I don't think that's necessarily abusing... after all, the spoiler tag is the subject of this thread. Thanks, Grrr!

Yeah, Markos should implement this, seems nice. Just that it will be a terrible pain for the Mods .

Yeah -
is cool
I think now the idea has surfaced it might well get used (in html) even if it is not implemented in vB

I say leave it as HTML, then we can far more imaginative than having a standardised one.

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">function spoiler(msg) { alert(msg);}</SCRIPT>This is a so mush better way of doing it:
<A HREF="javascript :spoiler('Hehe...');">Spoiler</A>
I suggest that the following format should be used:
Link Text
Edit: It worked with the preview... I guess embedding scripts isn't the best way of using vB...

Love it!
<table width=80% align=center border="1" cellpadding="2" bordercolor=black><tr><td>Spoiler:</td></tr>
< tr><td bgcolor=black><font face="verdana" size="2" color="black">Should be added right away!</font></td></tr></table>
And if anyone abuses this, then maybe the normal punishment for the offensive material said in it could be doubled.

That one worked... I wonder what I did wrong with the first one.

You mean the second one, right? (not the one in which I define the function.)
It seems as if vB adds a space in the midle of javascript in most occations. I wonder why it missed the working one.

Yeah, went there . But we really need either of those.
However if people abuse it too much, we'll have to start banning for it.
