Actually, that is a pretty decent set of features. I might even play this, but I can assure you that I will never spend a dime of my money on a Firaxis product again.
All of this stuff should have been in the original release.

Mark, please don't have a stroke.

My reaction? I've spent three minutes running around the house and screaming. Damn good! Hey, I said that the turnless mode is NOT simlateneous turn mode, it's different! Yay! I so much want to MP Civ 3...
Airfields & such great.

Auto-bombard - should be good, as well as stacking.

Editor - why not ehnance it .

Scenarios - who cares.

			Good. I like it.
Three special thumbs-up: MP (doh!), a complete editor (doh! again, but we'll have to see how "complete" it is), and unit stacking (finally!).

One doubt: "Capture The Flag" in Civ3?
One thumb-down: Only next Fall! But I suppose it is necessary, and even so I think we'll see some post-XP patches ...

Wow, I like it already! I love the amount of options for multi-player they are giving us, and I am also thrilled about Hotseat support. My only question, is how will diplomacy between human players work when playing Hotseat? And unit stacking! Woohoo! We'll have to see exactly what they mean by complete editor, as well as full scenario support, buty overall I am really liking this!

Yeah, Airfields rule. Straegy, man, strategy!

I wouldn't bet on stacked combat... Stacks, probably.

Well, I sure do, and I´m pretty sure many other not that big MP-fanatics do. Ok, sure I like that they´re putting MP in as well, but I guess some of us just prefer to be eremites...

Overall, I think this looks like a pretty good XP, actually it is more than I´d expected. Of course it will probably come with a pretty high price I assume. Maybe it´s good that they won´t release it until next autumn, so they have some time to do playtesting. And it won´t ruin the summer either, it´s not that good sitting indoors while it´s sunny outside... However, I´ll have very much to do next autumn, so it´s a small risk there... |

The unit sets sound promising. Hopefully Firaxis will put in a couple of decent scenarios with the pack too.

GREAT!! I'll be able to finish my 1.17 game, get in one, maybe two 1.21 games (unless we get another patch in the interim), and then it will be time to play yet another version!!

I've got to have the latest and best, but WHEN will this game ever settle down.
(Actually, I think it might be just fine if they would NOT give us such advance warning; or maybe I should just cut the Apolyton cord)

Guess I understand what airfields and radar towers will do (ala SMAC), but what about an outpost? How will that differ from a colony or fortification?
Everything else looks cool. My wife will be happy to see that hotseat is in (until she actually plays a game against ME, that is).

What, are you going to cheat? Are little handsome mirror?
Anyway, this is great news! I want this XP soooooo much, the only problem is this fall release... It's so many good games comming at that time, how's a boy going to cope with all those expences?
BTW, what's this "Regicide" thing? I've never seen that word before... Any helpfull people out there? I know it have been that before.

That's more than I thought we'd get! Two more terrains....mm. Sn00py happy, swamp and.. what else can I include?
Unit pack for WW2? That's what everyone wanted wasn't it?

And the new ground features, great, I really missed those and the outpost from ctp (I hope its the same).

And um.. I don't know why people keep moaning that it should have been in the first release and you keep saying that's why you're not going to buy it; this is infogrames decision, and if you don't buy Firaxis's work, you only hurt Firaxis, not Infogrames; Infogrames can take a few blows, I am not sure if Firaxis can.... soo.. you'd only end up hurting yourself. And besides, we would all have had to wait till Fall this year to play a complete Civ3 and I really don't think I can wait that long. I'm glad they released Civ3 early. A few measily bucks for an addon, that seems fine to me (And I live in NZ! it's expensive here!), but if you don't like that, just download it!

btw Stuie, you could build outpost in ctp, they were ancient forms of radar towers, built so you can see a large area of the land, I don't think it's meant for defence, just a warning sign - really useful!

I too would like more info on what an outpost is. Is it a colony that doesn't get absorbed by culture? Hmmmmm.....

I hope it's some kind of these "radar towers" Sn00py is talking about, at least if it's like the SMAC ones! I think the colony can be changed without adding a new type. Who would ever use the first type if it's so much worse?
