can anybody point me in the direction of a post that explains how combat is calculated. I did a quick search and couldn't find anything, so any help appreciated.

This is actually one of the few areas about which the strategy guide actually provides some at least remotely useful info. So - since Activision was kind enough to send me a free copy - feel free to ask me if you have any specific questions... (DON'T buy the guide yourself, it would be the most expensive firewood you'll ever buy!)
