What genres do you like to play?
Just curious (Like always ) what game types you like to play.
I'm into TBS (Of course ), RTS, Tycoon Games and Classic Games
Sorry if I forgot some genres! I know some of these genres could go as one type of genre, e.g. like in classic games there's also strategy games, but there's still some difference, like somebody might only like the new strategy games. I hope you get the point!

first person shooter.....relieves SOOOOOO much stress. i'm not that great at it, but it's loads of fun. I want to try playing with people i hate and see if it makes me better since i'd like to kill them. lol!

I have no idea, since I don't know the game!
For me first Person shooter is ok, but not for long time, and in SP they almost always suck, so I didn't vote for that one!

10 years ago it was mainly strategy games, but I don't play them that much anymore. The older I get the more I like FPS and "sport" games, like the THPS series.

TBS and RPG, almost entirely. I'll also play Hearts against the computer and Bridge online. I like RR Tycoon but never got into any of the other Tycoon games.

My tastes are pretty broad, but I have yet to find a sports game I like. Not big on sim games either... but they aren't too bad.

Yeah, platform games rock. Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and the like. Some fighting games are good too. I voted for TBS, RTS, Classic, Sports, and Role-Playing.

Your game genre classification is messed up.

RTS and FPS, although the quality of games in both genres have degenerated in the past few years...I'm hoping someone can make another Starcraft or Half-Life eventually.

What exactly are "tycoon" games, and where should the sim- games belong?

So therefore...
TBS, RTS, FPS, Tycoon, RPG

Tycoon games are basicly Sim games
Wargames? Wouldn't that be strategy? Or am I missing something?

True wargames (with added hexes!) are loved by some, hated by others, so they could deserve their own category.
I didn't check RTS because the ones I liked i.e. original C&C and EU1/2 are very much the exceptions. The same goes for FPS. I don't think I've paid money for one since Duke Nukem.

Voted: RTS, TBS, Tycoon, FPS
I haven't checked classic games because I find playing them on the computer boring-ish (with the possible exception of Risk) and on simulation because I don't think you meant EU2.

No definately a category all it's own. For those of us who love wargaming only we understand. Mainstream strat games are usually too simplistic. Wargames are complex interpretations of real life events.
Agreed Grumbold, they're either loved, hated, or simply not even recognized.
Of course these are my humble opionions...........

Me likes wargames, RTS-s, TBS-games and a couple of RPG games.
And I only play sports games with my friends, but I always get angry at development teams, damn them all to hell!! After a few hours the game is not simulating nor the game is fun to play, you allways win by some little bug or a invincible tactic... A development team that after almost 10 years expirience in the same type of games cant make a decent soccer game is a freaking joke...I dont even know why I keep buying these games..

hmm. While I play some FPS games and sports games I didn't vote for them. I don't play them enough to check that. I played Max Payne for like a day (I didn't pay for it- it was my brother's). I quickly grew bored of Madden football.
So it is TBS and RPG games for me. Rpg's take a slight edge over TBS's games- at least recently. If civ3 had been better...
