2-3 days, I think. I know he's got a busy life so sometimes it takes a while for him to play his turns, but he should respond w/in that time

Well that's three days, should I put his slot up for grabs? If you want I can put a disclaimer that anyone who subs might have to be temporary, in case he comes back.

Got a reply from Winterfritz, he's very bussy with school, this is a
quote from his mail:
Quote:

So perhaps think about finding a temporary replacement, at least until I get more settled in at my school and have a bit more time for fun stuff.
|
It appears we should find a sub for him

Is anyone allied to Japan that can play their turns? I don't see the point of killing a game over a 6-city civ.

Japan Rules !
A new Japanese Emporor takes the Throne. He is known by the illustrous name of Sandokan.
Speed is required, thus the Emporor takes some hasty dicisions:
Japanese goods finally reach European markets.
Heavy investments in Japanese Industries follow.
Suez Canal found blocked by Russian and French vessels. Japanese traders disembark disillusioned.
The Japanese is very interested in the German proposals for techs Does the German Reichskansler know the CivDip Utility program?
Is Japan also allied with France, or just Germany?
Japan sends out his greetings to all leaders of the world, and wishes for good relations with all, and cooperation in the field of trade and knowledge.
Japan askes permission from the US for the use of the transatlantic railway.

Does the list actually work? (not to criticize, I'm just curious) Also, didn't sas express an interest to enter this game when we were looking for fritz's replacement?

Anyway you're right about sas, I'll look for him on MSN.

Ugh, I'm sorry. James, I did get your PM, but I was in the middle of hectic school work. Here's the save, though if you want to find a replacement for me for this game I would be much obliged. I need to cut down on my PBEMs and I've lost track of the ones I'm in. Anyway, no big news on the French front.

New York Times, Oct 1870
Tampico Taken, President Assures Swift Collapse of "Bandit" Regime in Mexico
Mexican Irregulars, backed by American artillery and Cavalry, crossed the Rio Grande liberated the city of Tampico from the reactionary forces. Military officials also noted that the force assembled on the Rio Grande was attacked first by the Mexican troops.
While the have been rumors for months of Army Engineers active on the Mexican side of the river, this is the first large scale crossing into Mexican territory.
The Mexican irregulars commanded by Benito Juarez and his American compatriots were warmly greeted in the city, and citizens told of atrocities committed by the junta in charge of Mexico.

And Darius, here's the civdip file for what we discussed. However, it wouldn't let me make the demand of you that we discussed, so could you try offering it to me?
