I presume the other person is JMarks? And who's your replacement? Unless it's Bruiser (sorry, too tired to figure out how to do the vertical line thingy)

Yes, he's the replacement, he was looking around CFC for a game of Imp1870. France still needs a sub, but Bruiser can play now in the meantime since it's Britain's turn (unless an objection, of course).

You should play from the US october-file I think.

If you PM me and give me your email adress, I can send you the Playtest files. They are a little different from the finally released version.

If you still find units moving from the US file, that means the US forgot to Ctrl-N

Rules, and some diplomacy.
Hi there,

Since this game seems to get going again, I have a question for you all:

Is reloading your game to get favourable combat results allowed or not?
I suppose not, but I would like to make sure

And while I'm at it: is exchanging Government techs online allowed or not?
I would say yes, but I'm not sure how you all feel about it.

A month ago (or so ) I merely joined the game to prevent it from stalling. Obviously in vain . However, now that three players have been replaced, and having three other reliable players still in, I suppose nothing stands in the way of succesfully continuing the game.

I hereby ask Henrik to PM me some detailes on the apparent French/German/Japanese alliance. With a new Brit and French ruler, being myself being the third newly appointed Emperor, I beleive some diplomatic relationions will need to be (re)established.

The Japanese are men of honour, and we will do everything to honour previously made agreements. With the changes that have taken place recently, not all agreements made might still stick however.

With this public statement, Japan hereby invites ALL ambassadors to the Japanese Court for a private meeting.

Yours truly, Emperor Sandokan.

To Bruiser
I'll send you the files ASAP. You can keep the soundfiles from your previously downloaded version (saves a few bytes )

It is important to press Ctrl-N at the end of your turn, so that your units don't get moved by the AI. You then attach the gamefile to a post here.
I think more on it is explained in the 'PBEM guide', which can be found at the top of the PBEM forum. Give it a look, it will fill you in on how to play PBEM's.

I have painfully experienced that this is not allowed, and I concur with you. I vote not allowed.

I can't see why it shouldn't be allowed?

I asume we use the playtest version for this game, so somone needs to send me those files as well. eivindae@online.no

BTW, whose turn is it?

It's Britain's turn, I'm pretty sure I cntl-N'ed but who knows? If you can give me until tomorrow if that's not the case I"ll fix it ASAP.

Welcome aboard Bruiser and Kobra, I agree with those rules, and let's get going.

Also do you all think it'd be worthwhile and easier just to switch to the non-playtest version of the game? Since it'd be easier for newcomers and also there's not really a need for a playtest with the full version completed for a really long time.

Also, just to spell it out for the newcomers and reiterate it for the rest of you: Foreign expansion in the Americas will not be tolerated by the US, this has been our policy since the 1820's and we're not about to change it. And don't you still owe me Manila, Darius?

Bruiser,

are you sure you have chosen Britain?

It's rather impossible that Russia moves, unless you pick a civ lower in the list then Russia.

You definately should play from the US1870oct-file. Choose 'load a saved game' in the multiplayer section, then pick Britain as your civ.
It should be ok then

Oh, and you DON'T hit enter after you are done
