Sorry for delaying the game for so long anyway, but the reason is this: it basically died when the Brits attacked despite agreeing to peace talks

Well thats what you get when you mess with the most powerful nation on the planet. You could have just payed up rather than having quite a bit of your navy sunk and then still having to pay up

More American goods reaching European shores.
Carribbean blockade force enlarged, curious number of offensive ships present.

Ok, russia do something about your attitude towards britain in this game. At the moment its at enraged, which isnt exactly the best for forming a peace treaty. I tried to sign a treaty but russia demanded 400 gold off of me!!! Now i stayed to my part of the agreement and ihavent attacked any of your ships but if you havent sorted it out by the next time my turn comes around i will declare total war which will not end until one of us is destroyed, and by the way, it wont be me.
Apart from that not much went on, trade units still approaching destinations.

Its what you call roleplaying. Dear god, thats how the british administration would have replied if they had brokered a peace treaty only to have 400 gold demanded off them. But i stand by my threat, and also, cool down, stop taking everything so personally

All right already, I'll take Russia here. My Civfan Russia game kinda took a turn for the worst so I thought I'd begin anew here. Turn up soon.
Edit: Actually I need the password, hold on.

Welcome aboard Darius, or at least once you've gotten the password. If you can't attain it, I'm sure Henrik could do some magic and remove all passwords just to let you in. Unless there would be some objection to that, and only if you can't get it from Ecth.

I'm sure Echthelion is still around to read a PM even if he quit this, so it should be quick.

You know, I'm really tempted to suggest that we restart the game (with the released version as an added bonus), since it's only been a few turns and Ecthelion has really screwed up the game for Russia. I don't know what he was thinking being so provocative. Maybe he just didn't understand the scenario too well, I dunno, but now I'm sitting here with no navy and numerous profitable trade interests at the bottom of the sea.
In case you guys still want to play on, here's the save. I had numerous opportunities to attack the British, but I took none of them, in hopes that Gary'll give the new guy a break. Russia is very weak now, but I guess I'll always have Constantinople anyways...

Oh i have nothing against russia as a rule, or even against certain players, i dont hold grudges, its as simple as that But if my concerns as Britain come into conflict with another nation, then i will carry them through as i dont have an inch of give in my bones
Yes Ecthelion did screw up as russia, britain is, and rightly so, the most powerful nation on the planet at the start of the game with twice as many units as most of the other countries put together, and most of their units are of the naval variety. Of course maybe i was being a bit harsh with my demands but if he had just payed then most of his fleet will still be there and those trade goods would still be on their way.
But then again i didnt have much choice, he blockaded the baltic and the suez canal, and didnt back down, so i sunk his ships, even then he didnt back down so i sank more and killed some ground units.
Anyway, England welcomes the new rulership in russia, and extends its hand in friendship, britain is willing to offer money to repair the russian infrastructure and also willing to donate some ships to replace the russian fleet. Britain is dedicated to peace, but will defend its intrests.
On the other note, i really dont mind if we restart the game, same sides, and maybe i wont have to kick some ass in the first few turns, so im easy

I'll be happy to restart as well, if that is what everyone wants
It's not as if we ever made it that far into the scen anyway.

I'm not sure, the first few turns are the most tedious of this game, as I had to go through nearly every city to change the production, and move units all around.
As I recall, Russia only starts with something like 7 naval units and 3 or 4 freights. We could all be generous souls and send aid in some form to Russia rather than start all over

That would be a tolerable fix I suppose, but while it could replace the damage done Russia will still be different. Mobilization is an example. I don't think Echtelion moved a single land unit so I'm here doing a bunch of stuff I usually do on the first turn. And in this scenario I usually try to beat the Germans to Belgrade, which I can't now. I might not even beat them to Constantinople the way my forces are spread out. Also even if I rebuild freights destroyed, some of them are of commodities that I do not supply (such as oil) but that I had at the beginning as was Exile's intent. And some other things, I could go on and on.
Don't you think your first turns would be way faster a second time since you know what you're going to do? What I usually do on restarts is copy my entire "city status" report onto a bitmap and just copy the info onto the new turn, which only takes a couple of minutes.

Well you are taking over for a country that was just defeated in a limited war. People take over from defeated powers, as well as cheaters all the time, and in all cases the country's screwed up in one way or another (or more).
Still if everyone's hell bent on restarting this, I won't quit or anything, but doing so doesn't please me
