Could we at least have right Civ in right area?
When Civ dies, at least early in the game, another Civ is born in different area. That's been se since Civ1. However, in the Earth map, this often means we get stuff like Zulus in Australia or Mongols in South America. And this pisses me off mightily.
Yes, I know that even Earth map isn't meant for exact recreation of history. If it would be, Zulus wouldn't so consistently conquer Europe. However, whenever I see that after I brutally squash Spanish then Aztecs start their civilization in Siberia, I wince inside.
Now, there are 7-8 civs at same time and pool of 16 civs to draw from. So, whenever Civ dies, then game should look the pool for any civs that could be placed in their historic starting area without going too near some other civ and then place it there. If no such Civs can be found, then at least somewhere near their starting area. If French can't start in France, then at least somewhere in Europe would be nice. If everything's simply colonized, well, there's no need for new civs then, is there? It's little things like this that could make the game so much better.
