Stars! Supernova Genesis
Anybody heard anything recently about this game? They seem to have shut down their website (no new material) in January. Looking foward to this. Stars! was a bunch of fun.

Although, on second thought I'm nominating Stars! to having its own subforum in Other Games, which makes this sort of in the right place.

Mare Crisium the developer of Stars! has been searching for a developer for a lot of time allready, that is why there is not much new info out.
Check out Starbase Delta for the most recenty info and the biggest fan community of S!SG. Needless to say the forum is not very active.
I hope MC will find a publisher soon!

S!SG is dead. MC is out of money to develop the project, and no publisher is willing to front it to help them finish it. Too bad, because Stars! is one of the best games ever created. MD is and was inspired by Stars!

Stars! came out ages ago. Space-based TBS, something like MoO, only cooler.

While MC might have serious problems, the game is not dead yet! They just need to find a new publisher and they are still on the search.

I've still got Stars! sitting in my games cupboard, although I confess it hasn't made it onto the hard drive for a while. Fun but I don't remember it as being appreciably different to other space 4x games.

Stars! was great way back when. Now, I'd suggest all the praise in mostly nostalgia.
S!SG seems to be six-footed, though. Pity.

Sure, anything is possible, but they've been looking for a publisher for around two years now. What do you suppose the chances are one will pop up at this late date?
I LOVED! Stars!, and I think S!SG would be a great game but I'm not the least optimistic I'll ever see it. And I hope I'm totally wrong!

Yep. Even Wizardry 8 only took 18 months to find a publisher. After 2 years most people would dismiss a game as outdated even if it still did have potential.
