This reminds me of other failed systems that tried to make real-time out of turn-based games. For example, the Cyberstorm series of games by Sierra... in Cyberstorm 2, they added a real-time mode that was pretty cool, but impossible to track everything down...
Can you imagine trying to manage 50 workers throughout your country, production, diplomacy, and a war with 100 units at the same time? Ludicrous. And that's for an average sized empire. Imagine nations that span continents and beyond... They'll probably change some gameplay issues, but to think they'll change enough to make managing that much stuff feasible is highly unlikely.

I don't even want to think about that! It might be fun to play tiny map blitz games over in an hour, but anything complex would be foolhardy. Controlling a hundred workers and a couple hundred offensive units simultaneously? Egads. only 6 months left of speculation

So what are the 8 new civs and their UU's? Is there any more complete info. I understand firaxis wanting to make a big to do but this kind of info only whets the appetites of pathetic civaddicts like us.

New Civs:
Mongols, Spain, Vikings, Celts, Korea (probably) and Carthage.
New UUs:
The Conquistidor for Spain, Hwacha for Korea, Berzerk (Beserker) for the Vikings and Keshik for the Mongols. That's all that is known at the moment.
