Favorite scenario?
What is it? I like ones with lots of events, myself. This is part of my epic quest for the perfect scenario.

Talking about epic quests...
My favourites would be Moria and Eldorado.

Yes...Moria is really good. Second Front and Red Front were fun, but they could be tedious at times , but overall good

Re: Favorite scenario?
Mmmm... probably the one where she's been late for work too many times and has to go to see me, the stern boss...
...
 Oh, Civ2 scenario...
Red Front for FW, 'East Wind Rain' for 2.42. I like war games

I like several of the Spanish theme scenarios on the Spanish CivII Site. Alba de America is fun, El Dorado is very creative (and completely event driven). Of Celts and Iberians is an epic scenario that you ought to try.
Spartacus (can't recall who made it) is a storyline scenario loaded with events.
(As you can see, i love ancient/historical scenarios)

Seeds of Greatness is really good. For an original scenario, Mafia is fun.

Is the scenario league the definitive place for scenarios? I'm looking for Mafia, matter of fact.
As for Spartacus, I like it, but it's freaking hard! I had my ass handed to me before part 2 was over.

One more question: What is the best WW3/Cold War scenario? There are a lot, but most of them just result in nuke slinging in the first turn and aren't at all imaginative.

Most scenarios tend to get a tad tedious in the 2nd half however having said that some of my favs are:
Red Front-a masterpiece.
2194 Days of War
Ainsteig
The Struggle for Europe
Up the Deadly Boot
Spartacus-groundbreaking at the time and really a neat scenario.A departure from the norm
Imperium Romanum-2nd half tedious but very nice and polished scenario.
Alba de America is another one I like.Similiar to the normal game but different.DON'T CHANGE GOVERNMENTS UNLESS YOU ARE SURE.I don't remember if you are allowed or not(house rule) but you only get 1 change. You cannot switch out at all.Got stuck in a very premature Democracy first time I played that.Big mistake.
A realtively new one is Moira based on Lord of the Rings iirc.Lots of fun and very beautiful new story appropriate graphics.
Midgaard and Jules Verne are pretty darn good ones off the cd.Mars Now is not bad either.

I like 2194 days of war over Red Front. Red Front was just a pain in the ass . Too many units.
I'm not real big on events creating units except for historical context such as D-day and such.
A few of the scenarios in Conquests and Fantasy exp packs I really like even though they aren't as complex as more recent scenarios.
maybe because I played them in the early days of my civ days and I have fond memories of them.
I like the ww79 scenario in conflicts. It was simplistic- yet fun.
The civil war scenario in conflicts. Although it seemed to ship with a few errors. The north (or was it the south?) couldn't build certain units they were supposed to build (it was either infantry or artillery- I can't remember)
The original WW2 scenario that shipped with the game. It was my first . First is always best.

Star Wars (because I like star wars )
2nd Punic War
2194 days of war
and
Case's Raging Dragon
still working my way into India (as Pakistan), just signed peace treaty with NATO, and got attacked by the Russians ((what does CIS stand for anyway?))
I just downloaded Red Front; got done with letting the Germans beat the ship out of my men. I have a feeling that my turn is going to take awhile... a long while

It stands for Commonwealth of Independent States. It was formed somewhat as an interim between the Fall of the Soviet Union and the creation of the individual democractic republics.

I like any scenario that a seemingly unimportant civ can use clever strategies to come out on top.

The classic all-out war ones..
World War 1 (as British)
American Civil Wr (as South or as Indians )
World War 2 (as Turks/Spanish)
Discovery (as French.. only problem is Neutrals are too strong)
Kesh is also VERY intresting. Seems totally pointless and confusing, but I got very engrossed in it.. can't remember who I played as, as it was soooo long ago.
The African colonization one is good too. Play as the Native tribes (or whatever they are) for an intresting game..
Oh, and "Bears at play" Wtf was all that about?! Brilliant though!
Oh yeh.. my list is getting a bit long now.. theres one in MGE about Santa Claus or something. I played as the Reindeer and took over half the world.. brilliant.

It's still operating as far as I know. I don't think that it actually does much though.
