Emperor: Battle for Dune

I acquired this game a few days ago, and I am impressed by how well Westwood handled the 3-D. Most 3-D RTS games are extremely difficult to play, but this one seems to be working pretty well. It's a lot of fun, too, to watch your Fremen sneak across the sands or watch a worm rear up out of the sand towards the sky as your men dive for cover...

Standard Westwood fare as far as gameplay, of course, but I must admit I'm suckered in by the graphics. Thoughts?

Hmm... I own pretty much every Westwood game, but when Emperor came out I had a PC that wasn't able to handle those graphics so I never tried it out. I enjoy Red Alert 2, so would you recommend Emperor to me?

I recommend pirating it and then buying it if you're enjoying yourself. (as I have done)

I came very close on several occasions to getting this game.

Maybe I will just go get it afterall.

Well...I like the game, but the graphics isn't too good. I prefer them to only make 3D strategy games, if they can make it REAL good...But the game is good, fun, if you like the Dune series...
