that's really quite sad, we ought to 'explore' that area to be certain.. it would suck if it weren't New York but rather just some roads

Yup voted clads off course.
Sheakespeare's theatre is in Phyladelphia right?
We should take it asap, maybe before we attack Thebes.
Once we rehome our army there we can go demo, with Thebes taken out by 1 or 2 clads we should have enough money to bribe the remaining Egyptian city's.
This way we can focus our army and navy on taking out the americans.

Great Library in NY, Shakespeare lives in Washington. This is unfortunate as it reduces Philly's desirability. And it means that the rehoming thing is difficult - taking Washington and defending it without Philly first requires more defense, IMO.
I still think Thebes should be first. Then the diplos can swarm to bribe their cities whilst we attack America.

the decrease in productivity in other cities wouldn't be worth going demo yet, not to mention the Ironclads, crusaders, and musketeers most likely far out number the amount of shields available in Philly. at last count the unit number was 16-17?
I almost forgot the most important thing. reinforcements have to cross the sea or ocean (whatever) meaning that they would have to be away from thier home city for extended periods of time. And besides who wants an army that's stuck at home because the wife says so?

Don't be too worried about the walls, they are only defended with phlanxes (men with pointed stick) vet crusaders will crush through them , better if we take them out with ironclads first so crusaders can walk in without damage

If Skeakespearelives in washington yes, go for Thebes first.
I would suggest that if we begin our attack on the Americans we take both Philly and Washington in our opening round, this should make the americans reconsidder counterattacking us

How is the ironclad 7 attack? 4+50% vet bonus=6 .
On the other hand, they have 3 times as many hp as the defenders so that'll help a ton too

Ha! Sounds like my life for the last two months.... Honours is hard. What worked for me was just sleeping when I could - even 2 hours in the morning made a helluva difference. If you don't need to be productive then your plan is fine - but with a tiny bit of sleep you can be reasonably productive (even if still ready to kill everyone at a moment's notice). 5:30, 4 hours ahead of me. So you're East USA?
Early evening naps are good too - 5-7 pm is perfect, then you don't have problems sleeping again after about midnight.

Philly vs. Thebes... why not take both? Here's why:
We have 6 Ironclads in production. We assign 3 of them to Philly and 3 to Thebes. We have 6 free Crusaders. We assign 3 of them to Philly and 3 of them to Thebes. Still with me ? The Ironclads kill everything in the cities. The Crusaders walk in unopposed. See? Good.

The specifics of the attacks will be dealt with once the poll is done, skywalker, but that plan is a simple, good one.
Just like the one I was thinking of.

It's just that to do them one at a time is overkill and wastes time.

Provided we can get the 'Clads, I have no issue with that idea. I'm going to see if I can bring in a couple more Musketeers too, to reinforce the cities once we take them.
The main debate I'd like to see here is how fast do we go? If we take Philly and Thebes quickly, should we roll on towards New York and Washington? And I think once Thebes is gone we can probably incite the workers of the rest of the Egyptian cities (AFAIK only Alexandria) to join us, so we need only diplomats there.

i'd like to see us move quickly on the next cities if we suffer no/light casulties in the battles for philly and thebes. lets not prolong the war any longer than we have to.
The workers demand we free the slaves of Egypt and America as fast as possible!

I lnow i am a bit behind here but how many cites do the egyptions have? I know we have yet to discover all the american cities so is it certain that egypt consists of only three cities? Also they seem well connected by roads so we could let the 'clads take out the city Thebes and move in some troops for defence, while using the good old blitz manouver on the remaining three cities. That would give us lots of cities with which we could mass produce units needed to kick some american tail.
I thought that this may be a possibility but i acctually like the idea of hitting philadelphia and Thebes at the same time much more.

According to our Embassy, they have 5 cities. We can see 3, but do not know where Pi-Ramesses or Giza are.

Taking out the whole of Egypt takes too long, send 2 clads down to Thebes and the remaining forces for a simultanious attack on Whashington and Philly.
6 clads total should do the trick.
