Building new cities
In an earlier poll at http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=49387 we voted on which sites should be colonized next. However, not a single one has had a city placed on it.
Should we build new cities on the most popular sites? Or should we build them at all? It's up to you. The poll is up for 3 days.

I suggest that we build cities on the most popular sites as quickly as we can. The new cities would be relatively easy to develop, and they would increase our trade and production capabilities by quite a bit.

I vote for ALL of the suggested sites... you can never have too many cities.

New cities for our burgeoning population would be good - but we must watch out for the one East of Alexandria (#6), as Egypt may well have Caravels out ready to attack our own. Once we have some extra caravels (a ways off) or a reassignation of the current ones, we should aim at new cities, but only well away from the current warzone. We have few musketeers to spare with these new cities, so we need to pace oursleves too...

Either of the first 2 choices are about the same (as "most popular" is not a fixed quantity). Maybe a poll to determine how many and which sites would help. Exploration has exposed a few more islands, so "best sites" may be worth re-examining. And our War efforts may also change the value of some potential city-sites.

Some of that is true, however, the very best are still the same and most of the exploration we have done is far away from our mainland. As far as the poll being non-specific, I was thinking that the President would be able to figure out a reasonable balance between establishing new cities and other priorities. In my opinion, we should build cities on sites that got at least 9 or 10 votes first.

I only mean that some newly exposed locations might deserve some consideration for inclusion on the older list. 6,82; 6,18; 9,31; 6,33; 58,32; 24,48; and 111,77 (and there may be others), ought not to be overlooked.
It is entirely possible that our best course of action is to found new cities before attacking established ones. You could be the advocate of that possibility.

These coordinates are kind of vague, as we don't have the save or screenshots to know where they are.

It's a secret code for adults...
To everyone but Skywalker-child: I expect that the Minister of Imperial Expansion will post those map areas of the places he thinks are the best to choose locations from.
