1720ad Foreign ministers report on Indians
Foreign ministers report on the Indians

The Indians have 6 cities with their capital Delhi and they are building king richards crusade in Madras. They are a republic with 1053 gold in the treasury.

They have 2 techs that we do not have, bridge building and Medicine and are researching Feudalism.

They are at peace with the romans, Babylonians ans ourselves with no contact with other civs.

They have 1 wonder of the world, the oricle of Delhi

I recommend we try to stay at peace with the indians while we finish off the egyptians and americans but be prepared in case of sneak attack on New Castellon (we are well defended already)

You can see a lot of the World in the thread "Our 1640AD Map". There has been very little change, so it may be sufficient. I've bumped it up to the first page.

I vote for the 3rd option... um no the second one.... wait no the 3rd yes the 3rd.

aren't 2 and 3 basically the same, knowing that in Civ the AI always breaks their treaties ? (is that how to spell treaties?)

India isn't a threat to us. We'll have to conquer them eventually, but that should wait until after the Egyptians, Americans, and Carthaginians. Attacking before we kill those three will just drain our resources.

The third option is actually more the responibility of the SMC. It is different from the second option because it implies attacking India as soon as possible, as opposed to waiting for other conquests.

or, "the best offense is a good defense." In this game offense , but in general I prefer defense.

Anyone noticed that in civ3, depending on whether you want to disband an offensive unit or defensive, the military advisor is perfetctly willing to use either argument ?

If your offense is great, your defense CANNOT suck beause teh best defense is a good offense. SImilarly, if your defense is great, so must be your offense because the best offense is a good defense

The best offense is to have a defensive offense, so the offense can turn into a defence without straying from offensing. It is also good to have an offensive yet defensive although more offensive defense, to ensure your offensive defense is not too offensive but still quite defensive, in an offensive way. Similarily, the best defense is to have an offensive defense with an element of defensive offense, in which to ensure a mix of offensively defense and defensively offensive defenses, or even offenses.

Besides, offense and defense are spelt offence and defence. I think. (so many offensives and deffencives has confused me )

"Offence" is when you insult, or break a rule. "Offense" is the act of attack. Defence is not a word. In American English, anyway.

looking in the Living Webster Encyclopedic Dictionary of the English Language.
defense (us) defence (brit) comes from the latin defensa. both are ok to use in this situation .

offense (us) offence (brit) both words mean the same.

This is finbars job to correct spelling and grammer , I am too stupid

I believe it is a verb describing the act of removing a property's boundary designation.
