I agree it is hard to use the term without it being seen negatively. I think that as responsible people producing a quality product for international distribution, Firaxis should attempt to make the game reflect modern standards of diversity and inclusiveness. It doesn't cost then a great deal of effort provided the thought has been taken before all the final graphics are in production. If everything has already been produced based on Western White Male standards then sure, it is going to add extra cost. It is then a judgement call for them to see if they are comfortable with that world view.
