A few people (including me ) have suggested this. The problem is that it's constantly being patched and stuff. Maybe if we could start in July or August that might be nice, but as soon as october or whenever comes everyone'll be absorbed in PtW...
Or I may be wrong...

But then I'd have to buy Civ3.
I don't plan to go there until there's a properly patched MP version for Macs. Figuring late 2003. Until then, I'll wallow happily in the Civ2 Ghetto.
Y'all have fun...

Well, I'd check in now and again and be a posting citizen, but I certainly wouldn't be a Council member - I have the game, but played it for less than two months and will have little time for frivolity come July.
In short, sign me up, but don't expect that to be a contract to actually DO anything!

As civ3 is going MP, I might as well learn the game.

BTW, MarkG, thanx for this...

In the beginning, there were doubters. Yet, among the Civ2 forums -- and within a few short months -- the Demo Game has surpassed both the Creation and Test of Time forums in number of posts.
So it must be said -- the Democracy Game rocks! Another public thanx to James Adams for starting it, and to MarkG for initializing the forum.

foreign minister will have a much bigger job...maybe they could test out whether the other civs would accept different trades, and then include the exact numbers and stuff to use so the prez doesnt have to experiment...get every bit of gold we can get out of 'em!

They will need a Minister of Patches, who makes certain that all citizens are patched properly.
Alas, I have no time to join another game. Perhaps after months go by...

We're playing a game of Civ (2), where several ppl are in the High Council. These ppl get the savegame and put up polls to decide what moves to make/things to build next. After these have been voted on, the President plays the game for afew turns more, according to the wishes of all of the voters. Each month the ppl vote for a new set of Ministers (and President) in the Council.
Have a look around and see the fun we have!

Sign me up... I just don't know if I'll be part of the Council... But I intend to be an active participant, anyway.

The sign-up thread is at the top of the forum. You can vote anytime, no need to wait until the citizen list (first post of that thread) is updated. Welcome!
