just one question...is it only the "members" on the list who are allowed to vote in the polls later on... and how do you control that any other random surfer who does´nt know anything about civ just comes in and vote?

There is nocontrol on that, however, it has worked well for the Civ2 demoghame, and you have to be registered on Apolyton to be able to vote, so if any non member voted he would probably know something. Also he'd have a reason to vote, maybe joining right after.
What we can control is if any non members are posting on the forum, and in that case ask him7her to become a member. The memberlist is just to keep track on how many we are
