Which patch is best? 1.17f or 1.21f?
I dunno should I bother downloading 1.21f? I am running 1.17f at the moment.

OK. Go and download it NOW!!!

The game you see on your hard drive depends on it. There are so many improvements to the game (some people actually stayed on 1.16, 1.17 was that bad).

I second what they said... get 1.21f. Besides adding a few very important things in the editor, it might not be doing too much for the game itself, but the Editor tweaks are surely worth it. You can now change HP of individual units and get a corruption level slider... very nice.

There is a long chorus of people singing the praise of 1.21, and I would hate to join them; accept that they are, of course, right.

1.21 is far superior to 1.17.

A double post seven minutes apart?

Just get the patch. It isn't that large a size. If it is really a bother, just get some resuming program.

1.21 for sure.
You won't even remember there's 1.17 after a few games.

1.21 is far, far superior to 1.17. End of story.

Pretty stupid, huh? I was using the back arrow on the toolbar in IE and went back too far. If you reload the page that says "Taking you to your post" or whatever, it posts the post again. Duh.

1.21f is the only way to go, by the way. I really wasn't into Civ3 until 1.21f came out. I played for a month or so back in November/December, then moved along. Since 1.21f came out, I've been playing non-stop (much to my wife's dismay).

Get 1.21f

Although, I liked the first release of 1.17f, since you can get leaders and armies from goody huts.

But then... I used editor to fixed that in 1.21f.

Yes. You don't need any earlier patches to get the latest patch. (However, that results in larger and larger patches, and I hope that Firaxis will start releasing two files, wone from last patch and one from original)
