Peace Treaty with Britain Signed
Britons enthusiastic about "Vodka Day", Russians less so about "Warm Beer Day"
Black Sea Re-opens to Trade
I think the spheres thing would be preferable too, except people have already made claims outside of what would be their sphere, so that wouldn't do much good.

I'm only going to take Tsingtao in China, which is nothing that will impede on the Japanese sphere. I could have easily claimed a better city like Shanghai, but I thought I would be nice and let you have the better cities there, El Awrence. Letting me have one city won't kill you.
FiGu: I already claimed Bangkok and everybody accepted it except for you. I don't think you can to risk a war over one city like the one that's just ended. Also, don't forget that your allies have agreed to my claim on the city, so don't expect back up from them.

Tokyo sees no reason for the European and American non Asian countries to claim single cities that will gain them no revenue and thus take away Japan's Holy Mandate from her in petty claims. Like the United States enforces the Monroe Doctrine, so shall Japan declare that China, and the independent nations of Asia are under the protection of Japan from European and American encroachment. The free people's of Asia shall not be handed over the European and American thirst for Empire.

The United States wishes to remind Japan of its situation in the world. If you do not agree to these claims, any ofthe European powers can easily force these claims upon you, with force if necessary. The United States does not wish to fight a war with Japan over this, but we wish to remind you not to forget hat you lack the power to fight a prolonged war with any of the other major powers in the world.

Japan understands that perfectly, and neither do we respond well to threats, but we hope and understand that Europe and the United States are familiar with the term jus ad bello, and that they realise that a war only hampers the economic expansion that all of our countries are enjoying.

French Turn!
Le Paris Times
A peace treaty was signed with the british empire during this month, the casualties of the french army was 3905 KIA, 10 593 WIA and 432 MIA.
France has also sent a gift to the Russian Empire this Month, 1750 Gold was sent.
More is expected to be sent later this year.
The French HighCommand is preparing an assault against these cities : Tananarive, Dar-Es-Salaam, Mogadishu, Addis Abeba.
If any Large Powers got anything to say against this, than do it.
Tradings are continuing to the US!
When the war started, several French Ships were forced to search for cover in the French Colonies near the United States, the Fear of the british Navy was large in the french merchant fleet, but now when the peace treaty is signed, is the merchant fleet continuing its trading to the Americas.

Honestly EmuGod, I accepted those outrageous claims assuming you'd have troops there very soon. If France could take them all before you could even get there, then it's obviously France's prerogative. Give us evidence of a military capability en route to back up your claim, and I'll support you. Otherwise...

The military units going to Africa are heading out next turn. They were busy destroying the defences at Haiti, that's all and now they're going to Ethiopia. I should have clarified that they were heading out.

- The 8 warships that were rushed in preparation for war are now taking patrol positions in the Kattegat and Java Sea, and several batallions of field artillery have been redirected from the North Sea coast to Turkey.
- 2050 gold sent to Russia to assist in her industrialization efforts (it was either 2000 or 4000, so I'll send the other 1000 sometime soon).

Hey there! I am going away for a week on holiday. I don't get access to CivFan as the annoying 'server is busy' message is hindering me from letting them know I'll be gone.
Could someone here post for me over there or pass the word telling them why I can't play this week?
Thanks! Enjoy the summer, guys!

Cease-Fire in the Americas
The senate overrided the president's veto this month and ratified a cease-fire with the Independents. The fighting in the Americas is over for now, and the United States of America has kept all the territory it has captured.
The Troops Move Out!
Several American divisions set sail this month for Africa. Their goal is the invasion of Abyssinia and Somalia (Addis Ababa and Mogadishu). The capture of these cities by the United States will surely not impede on the French desire to expand in Africa. We request that the French limit their attack to Dar Es Salaam and cities other than the ones mentioned above. There is no reason to quarrel over such a matter.

I was on holiday...
* War industry dismantled. Markets are yet again full of life and Kobra has formed the second Republic of the British Empire.
* British trade goods reach several destinations around the globe, bringing massive revenues to the new state budget. The money are used to build up the colonies.
* Peace signed with the 'Independants'.
(* I was not able to send over 500 gold. The only lowest alternativ was 950 gold)
British territorial claims, where troops are ready to strike:
- Fez
- Messina
- Cairo
- Damascus
- Timbuktu
- Sokoto
- Swakopmund
- Tanarive
- Lhasa
- Kandahar

A young theorist in the Ministry of Industry, Ulyanov, has proposed that it's possible to enter the Second Industrial Revolution without undergoing the first. Therefore many buildings and laborers have been built to help Russia into the Second Industrial Revolution.

Just so you guys know, I got nailed by the military That means I will probably have to quit all my games in order to serve my country. I'm not sure, but it might be that they have internet and PC's we soldiers can borrow in our spare time. In that case, I won't have to quit them all.
I am not going yet though. It's not until the 29th of July but I want to let you know it now already. I will then be away for a year.
I am most likely going to Kosovo (NATO), Afghanistan (NATO) or Iraq (Under British command) to serve as a peace keeping soldier.
I did not want this to happen. Damn Norwegian conscription!
