Pre-Elections Thread
And so, it has been decided by public demand, that the elections for minister positions begin. This thread is designed as a guidline for the elections.
First off, each thread will contain a poll for each of the listed canidates in the appropriate thread. If you're not on there, then get on there quick, because I'm making the threads in the order that they're on that thread (don't worry Spiffor, I've got you for Trade Minister already ).
Second, each canidate is strongly urged to give a quick summary of his position on various important issues. This will allow the voter a quick view of what each canidate supports. These threads are not places for debate. If you want to debate, then link to the campaign threads. Do not do it in the election threads.
I will also include a list of each election thread at the bottom, so it's easier to find. If a mod would 'top' this thread for the duration of the elections (until Sunday, 5 days), I would greatly appreciate it.
Lastly, good luck to all canidates! I encourage all members to vote in every election. The future of our civilization is at hand.

What will be done in cases when there is no majority. Run offs between the top two seem the most sensible in my opinion.

If there's a tie in any election, the already-elected ministers will vote in the persons tied for 1st. Making another poll would be pointless.

No I mean no majority not in cases of a tie, you know when their is a plurality but no majority. I don't see another vote as pointless; I like voting

Actually this is the way I see it.
In cases of presidential voting the newly elected vice-president would assume the position of president until a run off finished (2 additional days). If there was no majority in the VP race the past president would fill this position.
For all ministers the newly elected president would appoint someone to fill the position until the run off finished.(2 additional days)

Just noticed that none of the positions have more than 2 candidates. So this matter can be settled later.

Yes, it appears so.
And a reminder to everyone. The election ends very soon, so make sure everyone gets their votes in! We've had great responses, and things have gone great for our first election ever. Maybe next time we won't have so many 'phantom' canidates, who are on the ballot but no one ever hears from again (not very reassuring, is it? ). I will begin the next pre-election thread on July 4th, with elections beginning on the 12th to elect the new government in by the 16th.
