Off-topic a bit for a moment if I may ...
Has anybody tried this out on a system with minimum specs? My current machine is actually a 450MHz which is 50 below spec but everything else meets the min req's.
Getting a new machine will take another month or two but I'd like to give it a go on my current PC first.
cheers

Re: Fargoth - I talked to the Flat-Foot about the quest, but declined to help him. Any time I speak to him now, he just says "If only I could find out where it is", or something of that ilk.

I'm a level 20 fighter, who is basically a walking god at this point. Actually, the game got really boring for me with all this power.
Anyway, I didn't need any levels of enchant, because they'll enchant for cash at the mage's store just remember:
1)Get reaction up to 100/100
2)You can sell your weapons for gold after the enchantment is done. So be sure to bring some expensive weapons you won't need.
The only problem is you need about 30K to get started.

Rav, I've got a 1Ghz PIII with a 32MB GF2Go (GeForce 2 MX) card, with the rest of the suggested specs met, and it runs at about 9fps outdoors on occasion. That's actually still playable though, and I wish I knew what fps the two fights that I've had outside were running at, but they were playable. I get about 35-50fps in doors.
I recommend the game whole-heartedly, but I doubt it'll run well on the min specs.

Cygnus, so I need to have the two enchantment numbers equal? I'm pretty sure I should be able to enchant things myself by now.
Also, is there anywhere I can sell about 100,000 gold worth of weapons? Or even just a single 16,000 or 20,000 piece for close to full price? I don't know of anywhere more than 5,000.

Btw, I'm a level 18 BattleMage, and I still have problems with things like Ordinators, Imperial guards, and some of those mages in the Telvanni places at least. Do you have problems like that?

Irun the game entirely on minimum specs, except for one.
My video card only has 16 meg of ram.
I had to do some tweaking, like turning off the sound and running it in a window, but the game runs pretty well for me.
The slowest part of the whole game was the very beginning, when you create your character.
My character is level 31, btw.

I can't kill them before they kill me. =( Any help on the selling of 20,000gp weapons though?
Edit: Cygnus, I can't find that trader. Any details I may be missing? How far off of that road is he? How far from each city? Thank you!

For liquidating expensive items I normally go to an enchanter, they tend to have allright money.. 2,000 or so. Then I sell the expensive item and get the money as well as a bunch of less expensive items, and then I sell the less expensive items else where. Kind of a pain, but that's part of the game.

Well, I did do it with the Robes of St. Roris. Which practically make you invincible before the patch.

Uh no, i can't say any of those groups are out for my blood. Well, I know thatt if you're caught wearing an ordinator armor even once it is really bad news.
In any event, it's Pedamine the trader, or something like that. Search for her somehwere north of caldera (maybe a bit North-east, moreso than west...?)
The merchant is a black women (are Redguards the only black people...?) and she'll be wearing shiny boots. She'll also beg to be taken to Gnarr Mok. I ran into her when I did the quest with the Naked Barbarian.
Oh yeah, and she's not off the beaten path, so make sure to stay on roads.

You can sell them to the Kajit at the Mage's Guild. (I forget her name, but she's the only Kajit there.) Also, look around the Thief's Guild at the South Wall Corner Club, there's bound to be somebody there buying moon sugar and skooma.

I've heard of a crack whore in Pelagiad who apparently buys moon sugar for high prices, but I've never bothered to look for her since I found out.
I need to sell a few 20,000 gp items. I have yet to hear of anyone with 20,000gp (or slightly less, obviously)!
Edit: Just figured this out. For others to know, buy things from the creeper in Caldera that you've already sold to him till he has 20k, then sell the weapon (in this case, an Ebony Longsword), then wait 24 hours till he has more money and sell the stuff you bought in 5k chunks. Makes me wish for Daggerfall, where merchants all had unlimited money!
Btw, the Boots of Blinding Speed are on the trail from Ald'ruhn main road to Caldera (or maybe it was back road), and she wants an escort to Gnaar Mok.

I reckon I can't get Fargoth to work - no real loss, I guess.
Anyway - that double quest the mage's guild sends you on, to convince a Telvanni to join in Sulipund (done it) and to recover guild dues in some location beginning with P. Where the devil is that place? My directions say "head east from Ft. Moonmoth to the lake with Marandus on the south bank. The place-beginning-with-P is on the trail to the NE of that lake." I cannot find it for the life of me.
Anyway, quite proud to now be level 4 with a reputation of 2 (brought the House Hlaalu murderer to "justice"). And a nice alteration spell purchase gives me 50 pts worth of unlocking.

The P-location is in a cave south of Silipund and north of Marandus. It's on the East side of the road.
Once your Alteration skill is high enough, invest in a 100pt unlock spell. There are a fair number of high level locks that I've come up against, especially in the Vivec treasuries.

Oh sod it. I'd spotted that cave before I hit sulipund, and just didn't notice the name. D'oh
I did have the presence of mind, however, to give Eydis Fire-Eye the code book back - but I read it first Likewise Ajira's stolen reports.
Also - a hint. There are are very few books in the Orc manor in Caldera, but all of them give you a skill increase. Also, killing the 5 Camonna Tong agents in Balmora without committing a crime (ie, taunting first) nets you a book from the Fort Captain which contains another skill increase.
And yes, I need my Alteration skill up a bit. At least it's major, so as I unlock things I'll increase it quite rapidly. Mysticism, for Soul Trap, unfortunately is only a Misc skill. Oh, and the master's Alchemy eqpt in Caldera? Nobody complains if you walk out with it.

You don't need to actually unlock anything in order for it to exercise your Alteration skill. All you need to do is sit there casting Unlock spells until you run out of spell points. I invested in a 1pt Unlock spell and kept casting it as I walked from town to town.

Nothing wrong with a little free training.
I've also found a couple of trainers who let me max out my skills. Haven't found one for Alteration yet, though--at the moment I'm only maxed out in Heavy Armor, Destruction, and Acrobatics.

Feather spells can come in handy if that's your main problem. They're relatively cheap. I'm trying to get a Golden Saint or similarly powerful creature trapped in a soul gem at the moment so that I can make a Ring of Continuous Feather or something of the sort...

I almost made one of those, for 50 points of feather.
Only problem?
190,000 gp!!!
All of my stash.

So what? Buy back the gold you spend on the enchantment with excess equipment you're not using. Yep, that's right, the money you pay for the enchantment goes right back into the enchanters "currently carried' gold.

First artifact I found, I sold for 110,000.
But it took a long time using the " buy little things from Creeper" to get full value for it.
