Can you repost the savegame? The zipfile downloads fine, but there's nothing in the zipfile!

5 downloads but no one else mentioned anything... Can't do it until I get home tonight. Not permitted outlaw programs like Civ in my work environs. Sorry for delay.
Welcome to the group, Vlad.

Trying Again...
Well, info sez it has 37,654 bytes in it, which is about right for a zipped save.
Posting again here. then I'll try to DL.
then I'll probably have to start over and try again.
FYI, I'm a Mac guy, using ZipIt, which has successfully uploaded my saves in the Campo callenge thread in the past. But I "admit" my affiliation so any Mac bashers out there can take the oppty to bash my hardware, as opposed to my computer skills.
Or maybe both... whatever. :shrugging smilie:

Sorry for the double-post. I went to do this --- ie, to post another attempt at ZIP when lest burnt out --- and my browser hadn't reser.
anyway, here it is (?) again.
Since I'm committed to other family activities tonight and go to the dentist in the a.m. , I'd appreciate a PM -- or better yet, an email letting me know if this has succeeded. (I'm PMing Vlad when done with this.

Both savegames are bad... :/
Actually, come to think of it, Jrabbit, could you post the save itself? (File size shouldn't be much of an issue. Most savegames are around 140k, around a minute upload time for a 56k modem.)
(Or maybe it could have something to do with the fact that you're using a Mac, and everyone else is using a Windows-based machine.)
If I'm not able to play the game from Jrabbit's save, what should I do?

It's within file size specs, but the uncompressed Mac savegame doesn't want to upload.
Trying again -- 4th time tonite. (Already emailed to Vlad)
Gotta sleep, so if this doesn't work, and Vlad can't deal with the Mac file, just do what you gotta, move on without me, I guess.
Plenty else to do -- like write some history etc. Tuesday is pretty solid dentist - work - golf --- so I can only check in sporadically during the work segment (US Central time).
AAAARRRGGHHH!!!!!

Well, I still can't load the damn thing
If by tomorrow, the problem is not resolved, I am sorry, but I am afraid that Vlad will start from the Marquis' save.

A.D. 960-- Ascendancy of King Vladimir.
A.D. 980-- Our wise men discover banking. Now trying to invent Invention. Made landing near Salamanca and captured it. Spaniards now appear determined to fight to the death. Moved a few caravans around. Moved a few Crusaders to reinforce Salamanca. New landmass discovered to the north.
A.D. 1000-- More fighting around Salamanca. More caravans moved.
A.D. 1020-- In a desperate attempt to save Salamanca, the Spaniards pillage their own fortress near the city and move several catapults toward it. Nomads found on northern continent. Signed a peace treaty with the Romans.
A.D. 1040-- A few years back, a wandering military philosopher set up shop in Lutefisk. We found that he was brilliant, and set up a military academy for him to teach in. His name was Sun-Tzu. Narvik built on western landmass, forming another canal. MORE nomads found in far north.
A.D. 1060-- More fighting around Salamanca.
A.D. 1080-- Still more fighting.
A.D. 1100-- Still more fighting.
A.D. 1120-- Shiguld founded on western landmass.
A.D. 1140-- Still more nomads in the far north. And now, Mongol landing near Jaak. Forced them to withdraw.
A.D. 1160-- Founded Antlergrad and Reykjavik in the far north. Fresh troops delivered to Spanish front.
A.D. 1180-- More combat.
A.D. 1200-- Road discovered connecting Salamanca and Toledo. Invasion planned for next turn.
A.D. 1220-- Invasion didn't get very far. Salamis founded in far north. Invention invented, now working on Chivalry. Stockpiling caravans in Lutefisk.
A.D. 1240-- More combat around Toledo. Will attempt to invade again next turn.
A.D. 1260-- Still more combat around Toledo. Vladimir I goes into retirement, taking his harem with him to Antlergrad.
and the save:

Zedd - I'm sure Julius will be glad you are joining us but there is an order of play
This is the last play list posted:
1) Marquis de Sodaq
2) -Jrabbit
3) Julius is on hold
4) Vlad is up (just played)
5) Scouse Gits (2)
6) Straybow
7) Scouse Gits [1]
8) LaFayette, eventually
I have already started so I suggest you hold until Mr Brenzaida sorts this out
Vlad Didn't you notice the French had discovered Democracy?

woops
I thought that everyone else was on hold, thats why i jumped in. Not intentional. This is julius' gig so i will follow his lead and look forward to seeing how everyone does. If its OK since i have the download i'd kinda like to play a bit of it just for fun so i wouldn't post it any where, jsut curious as to how I would fare in this type of world, never played anything bigger than standard large map and i usually hate islands.
