For christ sake diety, you reposted the tourny rules in the damn game thread the session before which said no unit gifting. The next session you go and gift units. All you have to do is read the thread, its in black and white END OF STORY. Cavebear was in a horrible position to be put in, he said replay the last 4 turns, or continue on. You guys didn't want to go back and i didn't want to go on. Now i have had enough of this stupid pointless subject.

I can't believe I just read three pages of this gibberish!
For God's sake, people....this is an incredibly slow and boring game as it is...why must you make it worse?

You really aren't into MP are you. You are talking to a bunch of civ tragics here.
I had the misfortune to play a session of this sad game. One look at the map and I knew it was going to be crap. It looked like Calcutta on a hot day - over populated, cramped, steaming, no elbow room.
I'm beginning to think a lot of the arguments about games really go back to poor choices in game settings.

Speaking of which - Have I ever mentioned the fact that Deity Of The Spotless Reputation attacked me? Unprovoked?

The big Aussie is a good example. The real problem with that game I've always felt, aside from unprovoked attacks , was the map was too damn big.
And I should know - I made the damn map

Yes that's why we want you to play
But actually not. The Australian games are usually quite peaceful. They are unique in that respect much more diplo than the diplo. Why? Well finbar is an ageing hippy and doesn't like war. Deity is solely obsessed with squeezing every last trade arrow out of the map. And Hydey and I just go with the flow
Of course if makeo plays its a different story because deity is pretty much obsessed with his destruction.

Yeah, I find war takes too much concentration and hard work. Our games are like those scenes you see in just about every little Italian village - a bunch of guys around a table in the sun outside the local bar shooting the breeze.

Quite right. It's sort of an antipodean version of George Witless Bush and Saddam Hussain. Now we just have to work out which is which. Well, Deity's got a moustache. Does George Witless Bush chase ski bunnies?

I find it really hard to take you seriously with that avatar War4.
Oh shut up Markusf - your map phobia and early retirements when losing have pretty much destroyed any cred you may have had.

AH i take offence to that, i play on nearly every setting imaginable. no one else, not even aussies would play on the customized map you created. And on top of that you have the nerve to complain about DD's maps

Bullsh*t - you only play on maps that suit you and you retire early and b*tch about the map if you think you are going to lose.
And I am not the first to say it.
2 highly respected players separately said that same thing about you. I didn't believe it but I found it to be true

Don't talk rot - you must have done it before because my informants mentioned your weakness before I played you, lol.
As for my allegedly "customised" maps, I'd hardly call maps with all the middle default settings "customised" LOL

Didn't you have to leave a game on Saturday night because of an "unexpected" family reunion you had to go to... Granted, I wasn't in the game... and you did come back... but when are "Family reunions" unexpected...
Sorry Markus... I couldn't pass up on this one

Come on i left at 2800bc while already in republic and i had double the cities of everyone else along with Gold and wine and river for my first 2 cities. Basically one of my best starts ever in these sat games.
I didn't say family, i was supposed to get together with this girl, she canceled earlier then it was back on. Now if i quit i certainly would think of a better excuse and not come back and play the crappiest civ...
