To pop the hut or not?
Small idea - for a moment I took my eyes away from the war plans and looked for some less onerous task than the crushing of nations - which I do only out of duty, and it is with heavy heart that I deliver the latest plans to our bloodthirsty Comrades at the front line (yeah right ). There are rumours of a tribe not yet corrupted by the taint of Capitalism or Republicanism or Constitutional (shudder) Monarchism on an island S of Rivertown. We have, E of the occupied coast of Rome, a nascent Caravel; a crew awaiting orders. We also have a contingent of Dragoons stationed in Nova Hispania, ostensibly for defense against any marauders. Said marauders pitch their swords against our mighty boomsticks - I mean Rifles (it is SO hard to keep up with technology in our State these days ), and thus I believe the fine people of Nova Hispania can spare one of the two detachments for the purpose of spreading Communism to the noble savages of the southern island.
Thus I propose the Caravel picks up these Dragoons(who should really start earning their pay - lazy Home Guard ), and escort them to the hut, where we may hope for tribute form these savages in exchange for our superior teachings.
Alternately the Caravel could station itself in Citadel and await troops to transport across the waves to Babylon or Carthage.
As always, up to the people! Three days, yada yada.

Pop with a two moves unit from E : in case of barbs, the unit (it's easy with an explorer) may re-embark in the same turn !

My opinion is that there is other hiden huts on our map :
- at S and SW of the mentionned island and on antarctic continent
- at E of carthagenians
BTW : how is really our world : as the general map shows, is it cylindric or not? The meridian line seems to be on the limit of the Map ?
From Galileo, we know that the earth is not plane !

Go for it, we'll have transports in 4 turns anyway (if we build darwins) These are with their 8 movement and carry 6 much better to ship units over.

Definately pop the hut. But i think the method in which we do it should depend on the carthae debate. If we attack carthage then some of the troops in the former Amercan-egyptian continent will need to proceed there so i would like to see hte caravel take action as MWIA suggests. If we do not take action against carthage then our troops will likely need to be brought west to fight the Indians so they could make a slight "pit stop"
I would like to see us take the hut, but in an efficient mannor that does not distract from our true intentions.............

We have several Caravels about to leave the Egyptian/American front with troops bound for India. Best to just tip that hut on the way. And, yes, that hut has really been annoying me; it's been exposed for a *long* time, but we never had a unit on the Caravels that passed it.

French in progress !
About my question, then our mar is normal !
The doubt in my mind came from the world map attached to the link "our world in 1778" which shows a dark line at the W of the map, as a border !
Maybe is it an effect of PCversion graphics ?
