I don't know about the main forum being here, but I suppose I'm biased towards it being at GC. Oh well.
Anyway, We'd need to decide on which chat to use, being that it is largely a chat based game. GC's chatroom can create subrooms, etc., can Poly's?

a) the private forums can of course be elsewhere. it would be better though if the main forum was here
b) our "live chat" support multiple rooms although it wouldnt be a problem to "take over" the main room for a couple of hours every day. private messages insided the chat are also supported

Maybe, I join, but only when you have a rule list and some written constitution!

This seems like a pretty good idea. But, of course, like my good friend James Adams says, we would need rules and a constitution.
Something I've never thought about.. can you play scenarios multiplayer? That would be very cool. Perhaps playing the WW1/WW2 scenario? Even WW79 (world war 3) would be pretty exciting.. it would turn into a huge conflict, which would make diplomacy good..
Well, thats my thoughts

It's not the first time we have to answer you this james... We can't have a global constitution, because it's up to each team to decide how they are going to manage how the things are going. Of course, every country can discuss with other to make acts and what is ok and what isn't in the game, but I don't think an overall act would be realistic nor really funny... Those are going to be discussed before the game, or maybe during the game. That makes thing even more realistic
I'm also pleased to see the positive reaction of the administration However, we'll have to work together to prevent double logins, but if the game is closed to new applicant just like MarkG suggested, it shouldn't be a problem either About the chat room, since we make subrooms, I guess it will be up to each country to choose where they want to play. Maybe the leader could be in both room to have a direct access to the other country, but that can also be done through the in-game chat. That would make 3 real independant countries And finally, about the main discussion forum, it's certain that I would be biased too about getting it on gamecatcher, but if it's the condition to get an apolyton team, I guess we could make some concessions

Good luck dudes, CFC of course can't support offically, but I doubt TF would care if CFC posters played in this game.

Thanks for your support chris (or AoA, but I don't think it matters that much). I know cfc won't support it officially, so we'll probably have to pm a lot of people to get them interested in this, since from what I've seen, most of the people love the concept. I guess that if we aren't too intrusive it will work

Umm...why?
I'm sure you have good reasons and all, but there are good cases for all the Fora to host.
And hello AoA. Long time no see.

I don't really see that as important. Its between three fora, and only they really need to know, or would really care.

I don't mistrust Cornmaster at all. It's that I thought I saw a post saying all the Citizens would have the game files. That's what concerned me. And having some way of preventing a person from being a Citizen of more than one team sounds good, too.

There has been talk of creating of a forth temporary forum just for the game.
Would people find this a more equitable solution?

I think what Adams meant by a constution was a sort of United Nations charter, guaranting that specific guidelines are followed by each team throughout the game.
In other news, I'd be interested in being a citizen of the Apolyton team if this whole kazoo gets started.

Oh, well if you were talking about that, it's already implemented in our experimental game... Nations discuss acts and such things. Example : Last week the discussion was about a no-bribing act. Several idea were thrown, and one of the team rejected this act. Now the 2 others have decided that if it was so, they could still bribe cities from that empire... But we will surely face new things during the game, so we will certainly have to adapt

a 'team' democracy team would have to be different from what we have now. for one thing, there would have to be a very limited group of people with the save. also, the ministers and president would have to be the apolytonians best at the game. they should have more flexibility and power than they do currently. however, all our basic democratic principles would be the same.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here at Apolyton
Good to see that the idea of a multi-site demo game was well received here, unlike at CFC. I'm currently leader for one of the teams in the experimental mp demo game at Gamecatcher and I think that one works very well, except for that we don't really have enough players for 3 full-sized teams.
But it's still great fun, and I think a multi-site game would be even better. The international politics add a new aspect compared to a normal demo game.
It probably won't start until the current civ2 demo game at CFC has been finished, but that won't be too long. And we need some time anyway to make all practical arrangements around this.
