The Good Ol' Flag Issue
Okay, some people support having a type of flag per government, and others want just one. So what'll it be?
Question
Should it be required that we have a flag for every type of government?
Options:
Yes, No
Expiration
5 Days.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU VOTE!
I voted no. I think it is a good idea, but it should not be required. WE should be able to change it any time (which i think trip means to also allow) and are highly recommended to do so after a revolution. However, we should not have a big stack of flags, we should make them up when we get to the new governemnts. That makes them truly be revolutionary flags.

We dont even really need a flag at all, this is just in the interests of fun... if anyone wishes to change the flag at any given time, then they may say so. However we should not be required to have a new flag every revolution or election.

Keep in mind guys, if you vote 'no', that doesn't mean that there will only be 1 flag. It means that we aren't required to change the flag every time the government changes. So voting 'yes' means that you want it to be required.

i think we should have changing flags, but the discussion behind the poll and stuff seemed to imply that they would be premade, and the poll itself implies that it would be required. This is what i dont like

To me, the question is asking "Should we allow it at all?". It's not implying anything else, but......

im with uber, flags for all occasions..
we should have a flag for everything ya know, the Election flag, and the "im openning up my CD-ROM to put Civ3 in" flag.. flags are very important to minute-by-minute actions.
i wanna be able to change the flag three times every turn

Given the limited scope of the question...
"Question
Should it be required that we have a flag for every type of government? "
No, it should not be required that we have a flag for every type, however, we may choose to do so after a revolution. But it is something to be discussed during a government change, i.e. period of Anarchy, as to whether or not we want a new flag. In fact I think no flag at all until we enter the first revolution & Anarcy phase.
I also think that when some rule is passed, then Trip (or whoever is President/PM at the time), should have to say,
"So it is written, so it is done", ala Yul Bryner as Ramses in "The Ten Commandments". Though, please you do not need to where the same outfit as Yul. (By the way who decided to cast Edward G. Robinson in this movie, "Yeah, see here Moses, I'm gonna rub you out, see.")

I voted no for reasons i mentioned above, but why shouldnt we be allowed to change the flag? Nations change, flags change. If the majority of the people want to change, why shouldnt we change it?

I voted no. However, I think that, if a majority supports it, we should be able to change the flag.

You could also have city flags, regional (county/state/region, etc.) flags.
Each party/guild could have its own flag. Each military unit.
The lists are fairly open for possibilities; Flags for Wonders, Improvements.
Each Minister or other official (elected, military, or appointed) could have their own flag, heraldry, or other symbol of office.
It wouldn't have to be limited to flags, the heraldry or symbols work equally well for some of the groups I mentioned above.
