Selfish Left-wingers
They want to steal your money in order to pay for their next fancy idea, like paying teenagers to have children or allowing illegal migrants to break into our country; but if a right-winger states that he should be allowed to keep the fruits of his labour, that is greedy?

Expecting others to support you when you could work is selfish.

I didn't realise the Times had gone quite that far downhill. You should read the Mail though, you'd agree with all of it, and you get lots of Royal stories.

I think one has to recognize, just as I have, that human beings are selfish by nature. Therefore, both the right and the left are selfish... just in different ways.

I'm not too keen on far-right, but centre right policies like getting rid of bogus "asylum" seekers from France are sensible, generous ones.

I'm not racist or anything, but I generally lean on the Authoritarian Side of politics nowadays, most likely due to the High crime and all the drug-addicts in Glasgow.

It is for the good of the nation. I had a little manifesto kicking about somewhere, but I can't be bothered finding it.

What about the Chinese limiting families to one child "for the good of the country" hard to argue against that one.

By literal dictionary definition, taking from someone in order to give to someone deserving isn't selfish. Keeping everything for oneself is.
Also, Bods, if you think we shouldn't help people even when they need it, I hope you're looking forward to a lovely dotage. Of course, giving you help just because you're old and infirm would be selfish, right?
Hope you have a nice life, Bods. Because you won't the way you're going.

What? So those on the left are all claiming benefits from the state? Most left-wingers are pro-giving some of their earnings to help those unfortunate. How is that selfish?
And I think Boddingtons submits letters to this site seriously www.dailynail.co.uk

The right wingers always say that the poor need to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps, when they do not have any bootstraps to pull themselves up with.

Wrong. See, the left always twists the principles that the right expounds (though often doesn't understand itself). Help, charity, giving is incredibly important. We can't (or shouldn't) expect everyone to just struggle on themselves in despiration thinking that natural selection is at work. It is a terrible outlook for humanity.
It is essential for people to help out their brother when he is in a tough situation.
Now, these are principles that the right, the left and libertarians all support. How the left differs is that the left feels people aren't giving enough, or to the right people, or in the right ways, so it feels the need to FORCE people to 'give' how the left tells them.
No matter how much someone needs assistance, his fellow man should not be FORCED to help. By all means he should be encouraged, but FORCE is evil and should not be allowed.
This is the difference. So to answer the poll's question, both are wings on a corrupt and dying plane. Both are selfish, both are wrong.
