mostly, yes.
most of the peacenicks are now supporting a war with france.
the main issue is how we're going to fight it, and to what extent.
some of the peacenicks and other diplomats are in favor of taking a few cities and then extorting them for techs and money.
i'd gladly do that, but i want to see france dead. they have good land and i dont want them to impeed our colonization of it.

So it looks like we've got some candidates for VP abd IE. I wish them luck in crushing the opposing DIA candidates.

I haven't seen the map yet, but is there a possibility that we can rush to build two more cities north of the jungle before we go to war? Was Thebes built in the jungle or outside of it?
Our new cities build barracks. Build UUs (if we can convince the populace to go with The Wheel) from the non-jungle cities.
The fast moving/retreatable WCs also give us a Golden Age, which could really help us escape from this lousey starting position.
Thoughts?

Thebes was built completely surrounded by jungle. It will be fairly useless until our workers can clear some terrain around it.

This is why we need a party platform, to hammer out just what our party stands for when it comes to war with France (I just set up an unofficial poll asking that very question: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=53673).
Also, it would be helpful if we concentrated all party discussions under one thread. Right now we have three therads going, and it's getting pretty confusing.

Damn...
Maybe the new popular consensus of building Archerers and Spearmen is the most practical route. That, or we build cities near where the French Warrior was found and use them as future launch sites.
But no matter what, we need to get a GA at some point early in our development. We certainly won't get it through Wonder Building at this difficultly level, so we'll need those UUs built ... hopefully before they're useless.

About this whole 6 different threads going for the same party. I was trying to make this thread more of a center of activity with an area for platform and candidates on the first post but it seems people haven't noticed. If this thread is already to bogged down I can start a new one or something.

Is it alright if the thread I started with our doctrine and member list is made the official one? I asked Ming to close all the other small thread so that it's not so scattered and confusing.
