Journal of the Admiral of the South.
In the year 1048 of our Emperor Overseas, may he reign a thousand more years....
The city of Panama has been delevered into our hands. But the coastline continues south, and it is my duty to continue until the lands end. I will circum navigate these lands if it is the last thing I do, to bring glory to our nation and to bring tribute from all lands.
The Governor of Monte Alba to the Roman Legate in Gordion
The fortification of your prefects in the middle of the jungle hampers our movement. Many rude gestures have come from the camp and our workers, busy connecting our own empire with roads, were too afraid to pass by. We request that you withdraw them peacably to ensure the peace.
Field Notes of the Eastern Command
We have one more obective left. To our south, continuing raids have occured, albeit small compared to anything previously seen. However, this nuicence will be quelched soon as we have our engineering corp and our greatest Noble Lords in offensive against the encampment.

Two Roman boats smashed to smithereens, four legions annihilated in Vinland hills, and two more bled dead on the streets.
The city is now known as Dogtown.

Dogtown captured, one longship sunk. Viking resistance is expected to last only one more year.
Ireland: tell your troops to stop drinking in the woods and take those cities!

Message to the Roman Governor of Gordion from the Chinese governor of Monte Alba:
The honorable Romans have fought well against the barbarians of the north and have proven an ally respectable. However, some of your troops stationed half-way between Gordion and Monte Alba are restricting the movement of our engineers who are constructing roads south along the coastline. If they are not moved soon, we will have to ask them.... a bit more agressively to move.

Burgburg recaptured and renamed. Last-ditch assault on Syracuse unsuccessful. Supply of Roman hearts running out in our granaries; might have to switch to other body parts soon.

What cities were those again? Am I allowed to declare war on you and grab the cities you've left undefended?

They were Great Falls, Grand Huron, Oshawa, Killdeer, and Algonquin, and all their units have been rehomed. I don't know what their new names are, but when you play you can just look at an old file and write down which are which.

Sorry, I though that I'd played this one
Several ex-Viking cities have been taken from the generous Romans. Their occupation is truely the greatest feat of arms in the history of the Irish people.
