The Great Plains Expedition
Our camp neer the smokey hills has been attacked by more savages, but they all were turned out. However, supply lines are difficult to mantain, and thus the Great Mountain road is to be constructed. It shall provide fast movement for our expedition against the northern barbarians.
As to our brothers in the south, last news is that they are fairing well. They have met stiffer resistance however in the form of feirce eagle warriors, who have encamped just outside of our newest conquest in the south. All shall be well with our Emperor overseas on our side!

A new Hero has emerged in continental Vinland.
Our Hero has discovered Mandan Falls while a group of warriors has discovered Council Bluffs.
The First Southern Expedition is crossing the Caribbean and the Second Southern Expedition is doing its best to catch up.

And where are these "expeditions" headed, Leo? If you plan on doing anything in Mexico we might have a problem...

I might have something to say, but the Glorious Empire of the Chinese have not encountered any of you Easterners yet. Of course, the Meso-Americans will suffer greatly for their attacks on our sailors!

Obviously neither, but go for Mexico. If I ever decide to kick you out you'll be too overextended to stop me.

Northern Army - 1016
An encampment is seen north, our scouts follow the paths made by these people. We'll rain destruction on their cursed dwellings!
Inside the Perimeter Fortresses
'Wang, see those lights in the distant hills?'
'Yes, I've seen them the past two days'
'Do you suppose they could be an army of that empire we heard of down south?'
'What, are you crazy? Afraid of the boogy man?'
'No, I'm serious, who else could it be?'
'Listen, that empire is thousands of miles to our south. No one could traverse those mountains so quickly'
'I sure hope you're right'

Weary Irish warriors have had their spirits revived by the news that the fabled huge Native city of Comanche Bluffs has been spotted by our brave scouts.

After our first legion to attack Tamuin was humbled by an elite native guide, our troops have permanently withdrawn from the village.

Another City of the Supposed 'Empire' has fallen to our marines! However, our casualties mount and our defenses are thin, and even though mountains of money have been spent on securing the new acquasition of Huichol (Aztec for Place of the Drunkards), a well placed attack before the walls are hoisted could easily over run our weary marines. Nevertheless, our Emperor overseas shall help us on our conquests!
A disturbing development in the north however, the Indian army has vanished, and it is not known where they have gone. All defeneses have been tightened.

There is talk among the skraelings about the death of a powerful enemy in Australovinland (Translation: Phoenician General/Dauphin/Whatever has died).
Alajuelo has been discovered and ignored.
Fruitless fighting is occuring on the riverless plains.

Half a dozen eagle knights and their proud general slaughtered south of El Tajin. These people should know when they're conquered. (movie?)

Ok, favor, everyone make sure they press ctrl-n at the end of their turns? Not a major deal, but a lot of productions have been switched around for me.
Street Cryer in New Canton:
Hear ya'll, hear ya'll, listen up to me. Our marines in the south have been over come by three eagle warriors before fortifications could be placed up. So the Emperor overseas needs you to join the fray. Huicol must be retaken, and this ungodly empire be brought to its knees. And YOU, yes you could do that. Just join the marines and we shall overcome this enemy!

Captain's Log
Much blood, much glory. Our longship warriors have taken the city of Panama and are feasting on the rich food stores (this is not to say that food was the only thing the city had in abundance...).
The ship's skald claims that Panama's "seemingly strategically-situated site" on a land bridge might put us in conflict with people to the south and north of us. That is good. There is no such thing as too much bloodshed, battle, or glory for those who dream of Valhalla.

The Norse would be wise not to end their turns with loaded lonships immediately adjacent to my cities. The one next to NeoRome will be destroyed if it is not moved immediately.
