Foreign Ministers report on the Indians 1800 ad
Foreign ministers report on the Indians 1800ad
The Indians are a republic of 5 cities all Inland , they have 1200 gold in the treasury and there capital is Delhi.
They have no techs that we do not have and are researching Metallurgy.
They are allied to the babylonians and at war with us.
Delhi Capital city , sixe 8, built on grassland and has city walls, wonder of the world (Oracle)
Best possible defenders are Musketeers .
Madras Built on river grassland and has city walls, size 11, best possible defenders are musketeers.
has catapult and crusaders nearby.
Bangalore size 12 city built on plains and has city walls , best possible defenders are musketeers
Calcutta size 12 city built on river grassland (no walls at pressent but maybe in production) (possible sabotage target before they can build them) , best deffenders are musketeers.
Lahore not found yet but probably north of calcutta, last city that they founded and is probably smaller and less defended than the others.

My suggestions ;)
I feel we should use diplos/spies to take out walls before sending in the troops, also sabatage production in cities that do not have walls so they can't build them.
we may lose some troops but our overwelming numbers will crush them quickly.

A first step would be to take out the catapult near the liberated city of Bombay and then secure the fortress on the river between Dehli and Madras. From there we can attack both cities with a moment-loss of just 1/3 of a move. Meanwhile out forces are protected and possibly we can lure out some offensive units on the the open field before we attack.
Considering the lands the indians posses with lots of rivers they should have dominatet the world. Their goverment must be incompetent and I'm sure their people will celebrate our just and supreme goverment and way of life!

Focus our might on sacking Delhi.
Then bribe Calcutta and Madras, the river+wall+musketeer defense will otherwise require too many units.
Mop up the rest with our might forces en route to evil Babylon!

I think we have a pretty good idea where Lahore is (as Hydey indicated).
The Fortress near Calcutta has a Cavalry, a Rifleman, and a Diplomat in it. As soon as the Dip becomes a Spy, it should investigate the city, then try to take down the City Walls and we should be able to take it. Another Spy or Cavalry wouldn't hurt there.
The Alpine Troops being buit in Bombay are intended for that Fortress between Delhi and Madras. That Catapault and unknown unit with it must be destroyed first, but I suspect a trap. And moving units out of Bombay will result in loss of effective Martial Law.
Spies from San Jacinto and Babar can take down the Delhi City Walls.
I agree with taking out Delhi first, since it is the Capital.

Note to cavebear, Calcutta does not have city walls to take down, we can use the diplo to destroy production so the don't even build them and take the city with cavalry

Oh DRAT! I've been staring at Delhi too long...
Your beloved President has been in office too long, and all targets are beginning to look like fortresses.

cavebear, Calcutta and Madras might be expensive now, but that will change on the turn we sack Delhi. If we take their capitol, they will:
1) Have no capitol, halving the bribe cost
2) Be in revolt, reducing the cost even more.
Have a spy/diplo ready to bribe as soon as the governor is seen fleeing from the mob! Those cities not on a river can just get brutally sacked by our mighty bad guys.
