How fast do captured workers work at?
It it worth basing my early infastructure on captured workers? I usually try to capture 20 of them and that's it for the entire game.

Get as many as you can, afterall they work for free

only downside : the owner civ might become somewhat anxious towards you: read more difficult to please, deals are not so good. could go war faster....

AFAIK they work half the speed of your normal workers.

Captured workers work at half the speed of your payed workers. So 1 of your workers = 2 captured workers.
As Alva said, get as many as you can. They are free of maintenance payments, and enough of them will get improvements done very quickly.

As for pleasing foreign nations, get more military units. It's that simple. A decent military is a given if you are capturing workers, and you can afford to pay them as you won't be paying for many workers yourself.

To clarify, if you are industrial your captured workers will work at half the speed of your normal workers. This means that if you capture from a non-industrial nation, your captured workers will work at the same speed as they would for their own nation (but for free)!!

It does not matter if you capture from industrial or non-industrial nations, both workers will work at the same rate.

hi ,

to get the best out of them , is to join your places , this way they will "work" on an extra square , and give more science and money , .....

just spread them out over your empire , after time they loose their ID , and become yours forever , ....

it pays to build your "own" workers , they shall work faster

have a nice day
