save games in multiplayer
Hello,
New to the board but a long time player of single-player AC.
I have a question regarding multiplayer games. Can a game be saved and restarted at a later date? The reason I ask this is I created a multi game with just myself and the computer AI, played a few turns and saved and exited. I then re-created a multi game and tried to load my saved game but no window with the saved game came up to load. I then exited multi play and loaded single play and then tried to load the save game and it showed up.
Can a multi player game not be loaded? I only have AC version 1.0 as applying the various patches causes the game not to work. Do you need another version for multi saves to work?
Hope this makes sense and thanks for the advice.

Since you're using V1.0, you can't be dealing with hotseat.
MP (IP or network) doesn't load saves from the same menu as SP. You have to load the saved game from the 'lobby'. On the top part of the left panel, close to where all the game parameter arrows are, is the line 'Type of Game'. Clicking on it brings up a menu. Load game is one of the menu options. Select that. You should be taken to your saves folder.

Ahh - thank you, that was it.
I have the 200+ page manual and couldn't find anything about how how multiplay works. Must have been a seperate instruction booklet that I have long since lost.

Slackme, there is a separate booklet called "Install Guide" which also contains MP information. Perhaps you have it without noticing that it contains what you are looking for.
